Looking at the bolts that this is attached to, they look like bodywork bolts. It's hard to believe they'd be substantial enough to take any significant loads.
I'd have thought there would have been beefier mountings, based on the factory strut brace I had in my corolla, which from memory had two 14mm bolts at that centre position, and connected directly to the strut mounting bolts. I guess the Corolla was starting from a lower base in terms of strength and flexibility, but still.
This one doesn't connect to the struts but to the bodywork nearby, and to a thin bit of sheet metal under the windscreen.
I agree w/ rosswond on the design. That's why I asked if it was really just one bolt on each side (which it is). Kinda dissapointed with Cusco on this piece but heck I'm still getting it.
I tracked my car last weekend bone stock with only 400+ kms on the odo. Next trackday is coming near end of the month. I'll post feedbacks on it then.

When i put this front strut bar on it made a night and day difference. I could hang turns at way faster speeds with the bar then without it.and that little blue bar in the middle is also connected to the car underneath the cowl panal. And thats not body panals that its bolted to it's part of the chassi . Do you guys really think that CUSCO is going to put out a cheap little strut bar or do you think that they know what they're doing, and where to place the bar to have the most structural rigidity. here is a better pic of the center bracket peice
the center peice is also bolted to the chassi, So it is a 3 point bar that will hold up to the LOAD you give it.
