09 Accessories. which are the best

Hey

going to talk shop with a dealer on a new fit in an hour....

anybody have the addl interior blue led lights installed?

how does it look?

i am also looking into two other must have accessories...the arm rest and the leather shift knob to match the leather steering wheel

any body else think there are other must haves?

i will also install a bluetooth kit..probably the ego flash or talk to add bluetooth streaming and phone capabilities via the stereo...

Center console

The center console is definitely a worthwhile accessory.

Center console is probably the best. I find the shift knobs they sell are ugly and in no way match the stitching on any other part of the car.

Best accessory: body side molding - does wonders for overall look.

2nd Best: center console

I like the shift knob (AT) - not sure why they use blue stitching, but it looks great, and it's not like there's red stitching elsewhere in the car, so it isn't like it's clashing. I wish there were red stitching in the knob and on the steering wheel. THAT would look great.

I just don't understand why they used any color stitching besides black. One of the first things I would like to change is the shift boot and shift knob, both aren't very attractive.

Hard to say. I do know that one person who liked my AT knob mentioned the blue stitching complimenting the blue instrument lighting.

ctsport will become famous soon enough
IMO the only must haves are all weather floor mats and cargo tray (and given the choice I would get WeatherTech's over Honda's)

Definitely do not want red. I want a good looking boot(black) with black stitching. The shift knob should be black leather.

I just got my Fit for about 2weeks now... And when I got it... I managed to squeeze the side mouldings in for FREE!... and they are the best improvement to the car's overall look... if any of you have seen pics... its not the old boring flat mouldings you see on lots of cars... this one is nicely curves out and looks awesome... compared to a Fit that has it and doesnt... huge difference!

So anyone who is planning on getting a Fit... try bargain with the dealer for that moulding... and trust me you wont regret it!

I'm not sure if I will be getting the side moldings. The car has many lines, I'm not sure that it needs anymore.

The body molding re-uses the existing crease-line on the door, so it is not as bad as you would initially think.

thanks for the pic... i was gonna take one of mine... to paint the picture for everyone... but yea in person it looks even better... and as you can see its not the plain flat rounded ones...

and they actually work... my old mazda3 had it... when this huge Benz SUV just swung open their door at full force right beside... i thought the door was gonna be dent for sure... but then to my suprise... absolutely nothing! the mouldings had saved the day!

Thumbs up That Looks Great , helping to make my mind up !

I just bought a ORM 2009 , I had the moldings on my old Subie and when I sold it I noticed there were 4 or 5 places on each molding where it had saved the doors .
Definitely worth the investment .
Later ,the Tigerman

My list:

* Rear bumper applique (looks great and saved me a scuff in the first week)
* Wheel locks
* Carpet mats
* Cargo mesh
* Door sill protectors (being shipped from H&A right now)

I'm also going to do the 3M film on the front end, $500 installed here in Phoenix. Gobs of big trucks here in AZ on I-10 and I-17.

Agreed! If I get desperate I'll get the blue stitching one.... it sure would be nice to grab leather rather than plastic every day..
