13,600 total OTD in NY for 09 silver Manual Sport with rubber mats. Here in NY they would only drop 500 off the MSRP at any honda dealer near the Rochester area. Then you add back the 200 they charge for the mats and minus the 4500 CFC. finance rates at the local credit union was 4.8% for 66 months.
Well living in Canada sucks, so even though I got the car for $100 UNDER Invoice... ($18,030) it still cost me $22,096 OTD. Freight & pdi = $1495 ($1395 + $100 federal AC tax) and the rest taxes... I bought some other things of course so the total spent is closer to $23,000.

It does suck living in Canada when buying a car, but thats really the only reason. I can't believe you got a Fit for under invoice especially right now. There aren't exactly tons out there. Did you use that website I listed? If you did or if you didn't I still can't believe you got it for such a big discount.....GOOD WORK!!!!!and welcome to the family!
Actually yes that website you gave me is the only reason I got that deal! I highly suggest anyone wanting a good price in the GTA or anywhere in Ontario for that matter contact the guys at Honda Cars, Complete Guide for Consumers and Owners - Beyond the crazy amounts of advice and information on there, they will contact you back and help you find what you're looking for.
I'll be writing up a testimonial-type thing when I pick up my Fit / get pictures on the 29th.
$17,7xx sticker
$17,1xx settled on price
-$4500 for cash for clunker (2001 Isuzu Rodeo)
($99 processing fee we paid ourselves...wasn't going to finance that)
$12,600 out the door. At the dealer for about an hour. Best experience buying a car ever.

You forgot tax/title/registration. 17,100 - 4,500 = $12,600. Add $800 or so for tax, another $150 or so for title/registration/plate transfer.
New 2009 Silver Base Model w/AutoTrans Bottom line price was $13,286.
I cashed in a clunker (91' Explorer) for practical reasons as it was worth nothing being 19 years old. That price included all fees, handling and NYS taxes ($1,403). I'm not so into the car but I like the fact that I put nothin Down, and have a reasonalble monthly payment with an averaged 39.2 miles per gallon so far is something to appreciate.
