i paid around $18,650 for my 2009 SSM Sport MT with navi. this was the sticker price minus pinstripes and whatever other crud they put on it. Also, i think it's important to list when we purchased as market conditions may vary. for instance, i bought mine around the end of august 2008 when gas was $3.50-$4.00 / gal.
i literally met it just after it came off the delivery truck. i helped pull the plastic off the seats and spoke with the mechanic as he began the process of getting it ready for sale (screw in antenna, top off fluids, install fuses, etc.). the salesman told me to come back in 2-3 hours and it'd be ready for a test drive. when i returned they had a additional sticker on it with a markup for "market adjustment" of $650. since the salesman and i had already agreed that if i were buying it i'd be paying MSRP i didn't have to pay this, but man, these things were hot back then. at least here in nashville. now, i was in bradenton, fl 3-4 weeks ago and they had around 8-10 on the lot.
Purchased Fit Sport for $15,272 + Tax, License, Registration & Destination Charge ... check out Mike Mahoney at Vacaville Honda for those buyers who are in Northern California.
Paid $17,910 + tax, registration, license, & destination for the '09 Fit Sport 5-speed with Navigation. My salesman threw in free tint with the car and they didn't have any markups on their Fit.

$16,260 is MSRP for the Fit Sport, but if that quote includes Destination, then that's $670 off already. California, so you have a max $55 doc fee, right?
tooalan said he was quoted $15,272 before destination, so that'd be $15,942 as a comparison. ~$300 diff, so you should be able to negotiate it down a little, especially in LA -- plenty of dealers, right?
Crystal Black Pearl '09 Fit Sport A/T w/ Navi/AVS sticker price of $19,430.00.
I got it for around $16,400 - I went through the Costco Auto Referral Program. I also had some negative equity on my trade-in that they hid on top of that, which is probably the biggest reason.
on June 14th -09 sport black w/auto for 17300 (or something close to that) plus tax title reg. I was happy with my trade in value, and it is not above msrp, so I am happy. I love the car. FAR better value than my PT cruiser.
