Yes, though you can't see it in pictures, there's a clear top layer covering the entire surface area of the emblem which adds to the high quality feel and look to it.

Installed JDM emblems (including RS) a couple of weeks ago and finally uploaded some pics:

Wondering it it would look weak just to do the rear emblem. I have a sport grill and don't know that I want to put my high performance tupperware mesh back on. I wasn't going to do JDM badges at all, until I saw how sexy they look against the blue. (Plus Rep Blythe)
*edit If it would let me give you more rep.

Thanks! Just think of it this way, it'll be physically impossible for anyone to see the front and back of your car at the same time. No one will know that you only have badge in back unless they're REALLY paying attention.

I'm not exactly sure on everyone's placements but here is how I plan to tackle it.

Get some painters tape and a ruler.

From the bottom of the black trim piece above the trunk latch, as straight as you can (use a leveler if you want), and apply the painters tape until the tail light.

Then take your ruler and measure from the black trim piece to the tail light. Take that measurement and subtract the length of the RS emblem. Then divide your result by 2 (as close as possible). This will be your measurement from both sides (from trim piece and from taillight) Mark it on the painters tape.

Now you have it centered and you can apply the RS badge with out worry of its horizonal and vertical positioning.

Again, that's my plan to tackle it. Feel free to do whatever you feel is easier.

Here's what I did: I put a little roll of painter's tape on the back of the emblem and stuck it on the car where I thought it looked good. The I stepped back and looked, then adjusted, then stepped back again, then adjusted, etc. When I finally got the placement I wanted, I used a dry erase marker to trace the emblem. Then I took off the backing, and carefully placed the emblem inside the outline I'd traced.

It's going to be kinda difficult to measure exactly on a curved surface like that.

Great write up. Noticed the Honda S-800 "Honda" script emblem on the lower right bumper. Where did you get that! I used to own a 1968 rag top. It was 1 of 6,500 made.

Can anyone link me to a Fit with just the red badges and no RS emblem? A fit emblem is fine, just no RS.

Nice write up by the way.

I got it back in 2003 from Japan. There were two versions of the emblem, one that was straight chrome and the other was black chrome. I got the black chrome set.

The surprising thing is that these emblems are not plastic, they are metal. Not sure where to get them anymore.

Are the red badges found on ebay for about $20 the real thing or some cheap homemade replica? And are they the right ones for the Fit? I couldn't find anything by searching for the part numbers...

If you find real deals for $20 let me know lawlz

But for now, they usually run from $35-$60. There are deals with both front and rear that go for around $85.

Those are the real deal ones. If you think about it, its like ordering stuff from a dealership here, a bit expensive, only this time its from dealers in Japan ;P
