GE8 suspension parts...

I've been looking at different 09+ Fit suspensions but there doesn't seem to be many being made by the big names here yet. Tein, Cusco, Mugen, HKS, RS-R (JDM tuners) offer nice stuff but its kinda out of my price range..

I've seen an explosion in Chinese/Taiwanese-manufactured parts lately (Skunk2, Omni, F&F, D2, K-Sport, MANY more!) & am a bit leery on quality vs a U.S., Japanese or Euro built part.

G4 Racing coilovers - Club RSX Message Board

Oh, does anyone know where T1R builds there coilovers?

I might just might wait for Ground Control to release an adjustable spring kit.. than hope Koni makes "yellows" for me too...

I made this thread to be bumped when a brand with a solid rep & non-outsourced facility like Endura-Tech, Progress, PIC... KW, Bilstein, HR if the Germans likey our Fits etc comes out with GE8 full coilovers. Anyone's welcome to bump for struts, adjustable springs or anything for the GE8 suspension when it reaches the market. Reviews are welcome too!

Thanks, Alec.

They do, and they're very nice! just ~$600 out of my budget right now.. ($1,665.52)

I want to keep the total setup around $1000.. If Ground Control made their tried & true adjustable spring collars with custom-rate Eibachs (usually about $430) than the rest could be spent on 4 custom-valved shocks from Koni...

These setups, as many of you know who go to track events, are usually on the fastest running Hondas. A prebuilt, flashy full coilover charges a premium for being just that, prebuilt & flashy... Rarely can you find a more durable customized setup than GC/Konis for your buck, but PIC Performance & Progress Group make a good arguement... too bad no one I mentioned above is on the '09 Fit bandwagon yet..

Buy PIC Select for 1994-2001 Acura Integra

I concur. Never underestimate the value of proper coilovers (Ex owner of Apex'i N1 w/ ITR LCAs on my DC2 integra)

Yes sir! D2's along with many other mid-priced coilovers are made by Bor Chuan's BC Racing in China. They aren't total crap, but if you look at the specs & see how identical they are to others sellers its almost criminal to charge $100's more for THE SAME COILOVER (Apex'i, K-Sport etc.) The power of the dollar, consumers' gullibility and China & Taiwan's growth are amazing things...

Taiwan Bor-Chuann= BC-racing =

For a DD who just wants lots of features, a decent drop while retaining shock travel & a sexy setup they're fine...

If you don't want the thought of a catastrophic failure in the back of your mind, want them to last 100K miles with warranty & a brand who will rebuild them & are racing the vehicle I'd opt for something built in the U.S., Japan or Europe.

Now to save about $600.. being poor FTMFL lol.

I'm subscribing to this thread. I'm interested in coilovers for the GE08 but have far less knowledge than you guys, and also want to keep my budget reasonable. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

SOoooo many people had problems with the JIC's on their RSX. I was a lucky one and mines were perfect.
You would think for something that is that damn expensive, they would make sure it wasn't so crappy.

UNBRE4K4BLE is an unknown quantity at this point
I'd be content with just springs on stock shocks at this point. I've always had a complete set-up on my previous cars, but I can't take the stock ride height much longer. Are there any springs besides just rs*r? And where can you get those anyway?

Ditto.

I got some noooooob questions...

Coilovers are adjustable height? right?
How long do they last?
Can you put weight (~600lbs or so) in the car with them on?
I will be using the car to haul things, and it would be nice to be able to raise the suspension when I'm doing gig's, and then lower it back when I'm not.

Thanks.

Yep, there is Tanabe. I just got DF210's off eBay for $195, I had to use the "Make Offer" option, because the seller was trying to get $210.00 for them + $30 in shipping charges.
