I don't get why people are so secretive/sensitive to how much people paid for something....to me, it makes no difference. Either a) you paid too much, and could potentially save some money by returning what you just bought or b) help others out to get as good of a deal as you.
It's not like you're sharing your annual salary (which even some people still don't care...)
Just my 2cents

Looks really sweet man! Have you had to put chains on the Fit yet? The reason i ask is, i plan on taking my Fit up on a boarding trip for the first time ever pretty soon. I hopefully wont need chains but just incase haha.
I plan on making them fit in the back somehow, id like a rack and would buy one if they didnt affect MPGs quite so much. Are you basing your MPG reading off the on board estimator? I thought with the mpg numbers posted you forsure had the MT. But i see you have the AT.
I just installed mine. I bought it from REI. It uses the Q99 clips with Q towers.
I usually use mine with a fairing a bike racks. It's a little noisy. I haven't figured out the gas mileage change.
Today I carried a dresser on top, so I took the fairing off. Oh my God! Incredibly noisy without a fairing.
No MPG with a dresser up on top? Gee, you missed a great post by not taking note of this important fact. Some of us have been waiting for an DMPG, I suspect I may have to fire off a letter to Top Gear UK and get a number from them.
Asking much here I know, but ta, could ya maybe put the dresser back on the Fit and bounce a number our way? Only take a day or so of driving.
Wish you had a photo of the Dresser Fit in action.
We have a roof rack on our 2008 Sport...it has been there since last May. We use it for many things, but in the Spring and Summer it hauls a hard-body kayak down to the Rio Grande every weekend.
It does likely cause a reduction in gas mileage, but not that much. We run our tires at 45 psi in summer, but they are down to 40 psi now in winter. This still makes a huge difference to gas mileage....and more than compensates for the roof rack.
Most of our driving is in town from Sept to April, but our average since last May 1 is still over 40 mpg. So don't worry about the roof rack...just increase your tire pressure and you will feel very good. We keep detailed records of miles covered and gallons pumped, so this average is very accurate over a good 9 months of driving. We also live in the mountains, so lots of climbing included in this driving.

Ought to be a thread with pics of stuff hauled in and on top of our Fit cars. No Photoshopping!
I have the same car and same rack ... looks good ! Will take it off my civic and toss it on the Fit. Anyone seen a Fit with a Yakama cargo box?
I may get one for summer roadtrips but would like to see an install first. ~ cheers
Little tip for you guys with racks - if you don't want the rack feet / clips to mess up you paint, buy some paint protection film from Xpel, cut some rectangles, and put them in your door jambs and on your pillars (underneath the foot pads). I've done this on the past couple of cars and no more chewed paint, and it's basically invisible. This stuff should be included with the rack...
No problem - I bought mine straight from Xpel. They have the film in all sorts of different thicknesses, widths, etc. I bought a little extra for otther projects too, it's great stuff.
