My 94 Integra's driver's door armrest eventually cracked due to my heavy elbow, lol. It took several years and about 120,000 miles for it to happen though. It did not have the fabric that this Fit has; it was thin plastic with a soft vinyl on top. I took care of it by applying a square metal plate with a thick mouse pad material on top of it and just glued it. No, it didn't look so graceful, but it wasn't too noticeable as it was a similar color to the armrest.
Anyway, thanks for the post. I'll beware of that potential circumstance on my Fit.
The plastic underneath the cloth is very thin. I plan to address it with the dealer during my first service. I have about 70% oil life left so it could be a while. I hope it's covered under warranty.
It happened to mine also. I was lifting myself leaning on the armrest and handbrake lever, trying to shift myself over. It was a very cold morning (-30C) and "crack".
I kind of see it as my fault although it isn't constructed very strong there. I intend to fix it myself by removing the panel and reinforcing it with some epoxy or fiberglass on the inside. I'll have to wait till the weather is warmer before fixing it.

the door panel where i rest my left elbow is also cracked inside and i can feel it sink when i push down on it. Its not a big issue for me since i'm sure it will crack again if i get it replaced.
Damn my muscular buff arm aka "gunz"
