VSS/Reverse wiring in GE08???

I know that the wiring diagrams for the GE08 haven't been published yet, but does anyone know where to locate the Variable Speed Sensor (VSS) and Reverse wires? Working on an aftermarket navi install.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any info (rep will be provided!)

for the pioneer units, they work fine without the VSS wire. I didn't hook it up in my Integra and it works fine.

As for the reverse it should be underneath the console, no idea what wire though.

I did the hack on the AVIC D3 and it plays video when driving though, I never use it though.

Thanks for the response! I know it'll work fine without the VSS wire, but it does impact how your car's speed is projected if you lose the GPS signal (in a tunnel, urban area, etc). And I definitely want to find the reverse signal in case I ever want to install a reverse camera.

my best guess for the VSS wire would be the one that feeds the Odometer.

But without a factory manual it might be hard finding it. Unless a competent shop has that info. Those stereo shops should have a login on the Vendor site where they can lookup that info (that is if it's available yet.)

Yeah, may end up calling an audio shop if I don't find something online soon.

Haha, thanks, I totally missed it. Looks like #21 will work for the reverse, but don't see one for VSS. Am I blind? And Helm definitely includes 2009 now? I should probably just go purchase a pass.

There's a VSS wire coming out the back of the audio unit. It's used for the speed compensating volume (or whatever Honda calls it). The wire is in pin 15. Imagine you're looking at the back of the audio unit 24 pin connector (wire side). It's on the bottom row, third from the left.

Are you sure that's for GE8? I thought that was the GD3 location.

Back up wire definitely works. Still cant verify the vss wire. The pioneer units only have a calculated gps speed displayed. Vss is hooked up at the 3rd from left on bottom, but cant really tell.

I can tell you that the arrow doesnt jump backwards anymore (gps corrections)
