Anyone tried the Allen trunk bike rack

Has anyone tried the Allen trunk bike rack on the 09 Fit Sport? The fit list gives the Model 102A as suitable for the Fit 07-08 (Sport not mentioned)

EXWRX will become famous soon enough
I think if you had a sport or an added spoiler this would put a lot of stress on it. For a base Fit it'd probably work fine, but I want to go with a hitch mount one.

Yes, that's what I was thinking, the spoiler could be stressed.

I'm toying with removing the spoiler in order to make use of a trunk mount bike rack for a road trip. Suggestions?

if you want your Bike all over the road...in short use to the trail head it might be ok, but I dont trust those things...my ex had one on her Miata and it almost put my nice Mt bike on the 405......if you have a nice road or mt bike Id spend a bit more to have it safely transported...

Yep, with spoiler the strap on bike racks of any brand won't work. I have a Yakima bike rack from previous vehicle. Tried it on my Fit and it bent the spoiler down and stressed it. Posted here about removing the spoiler, got good info ,but my spoiler just won't budge with reasonable force. I didn't want to damage the spoiler,or Fit. I have a roof rack for canoes,so I just bought track & bar for it to haul bike. One bike will fit inside with seats down too. Seen a picture somewhere someone made a bracket across the rear at the hatch, and removed front bike wheels to haul fork attached inside.

The Thule 911 Passage has a fit dial thing that may be able to adjust so nothing stresses the spoiler. Check it out online and let me know what others think. I wanna transport 3 bikes and 4 people but don't wanna spend a ton of money on a hitch or roof rack!

Spring for the Roof Rack... It is well worth it. I had a trunk rack on my integra and switched to a roof rack. It was so much more useful and held the bikes much much better. I could carry two of the following simultaneously; Four pairs of skis, two bikes, a Cargo box. I haven't picked up the right adapter for my Fit yet but once I do, I'll add the roof rack to the fit.

The only car that I liked having a trunk rack on was my prelude because it actually had a trunk. I had a Rhode Gear Super cycle shuttle and the Ski rack attachment. I could flip the arms up over the back of the trunk and with the ski rack attachment, carry 4 pairs of skis which looked like I had a rocket launcher on the back.
