J's racing throttle body

Was looking through aj-racings website and noticed J's racing has a TB for the GE's. Looks cool but they advertise a 4-5hp gain. Doesnt sound like a deal for $650 though.

Agreed. I may change my mind if say someone comes out with a supercharger sometime soon.

There is one other company in Japan that sells a T-Body for the GE8 that is about 175$ less than the J's one and that includes the core charge too.

I think I will wait till some one actually ponys up the money and tries it. Not sure I want to dunk 650 on such a small part.

A throttle body spacer????

meh..... remove all your interior pieces and put on hug cap rims and you got your 4-5 HP gain right there....

But don't get me wrong, I totally respect A J Racing and their research and development.

Were not talking about a spacer. This is an aftermarket bored out TB. Bigger inlet means more air but its not going to make a big difference on a 1.5 liter engine. It might make sense to run this with some sort of FI where I wouldn't be suprised to see 8whp from it. But its still a bit pricey.

i might buy it just to see if it makes a difference, it might make a pretty big difference with a CAI and a catback

Ahhh ok I get you. Yeah, those sound like they would be good for FI.

Old Thread Resurrect!

Was researching throttle bodies and ran into this thread. Looking for one to see what options I may look into for the 2015 Fit. The link provided earlier is broken but I did see this --> A&J Racing Spoon Throttle Body. CAD $987.00 (Approx. USD $858.69)

That is more than a bit pricey. I'm still interested though. I'll ask around to see if anyone can bore one out for the fit. Maxbore does this and they did a good job on my RAV4's throttle body. I'm considering sending the stock unit out to them to have it modified. Anyone have any experience with Maxbore with their Fit?

I was going to say do the bore yourself but for $99 that's a pretty legit deal.

The Spoon also alters the butterfly to a larger bore whereas the J's only bores the opening leaving the stock butterfly in place.
