got my T1R short shifter from a local shop called Speedstar in Toronto for $95 Cdn installation included. Not bad of a deal compared to the Mugen / H-Fit

What would be helpful now.......

we know that the Skunk 2 and H-Fit place the shift knob about 5/8" higher than stock and from Pandas pics we know the TR1 places the shift knob about 5/8 lower than stock.

What about the Mugen?????

The installation guide for the mugen says 20mm shorter, which is close to 5/8ths

If you look at the picture of the Mugen short throw
The mountind holes contain a brass sleeve in a rubber bushing, hard mounts replace this with a solid steel sleeve. Kind of like replacing your rubber suspension bushings with High density PU like energy suspension. It should transmit a bit more vibration and make it feel a bit more solid,

so it makes the shifter vibrate more, which makes it "feel solid?" which makes it... easier/faster to shift? that's a little confusing for me.

Not necessarily faster, but you can be more aggressive. Lets put it this way. If you have to ask, you probably don't need or want it. I don't plan on using them in my car, but if your car will see some track time, even if you take your times seriously on a track day, or if you will be autocrossing, it couldn't hurt. But if you just want to make your ride a little nicer, and a little faster, you might find they detract from what you are looking for. But hey, for 25 bucks, give them a shot. If you don't like them, put them back up here, and I'm sure someone will take them off your hands.
