mudflaps on a sport...

hey, i know the factory mudflaps don't work on the sport model, due to the sideskirts for the front, and the rear bumper shape for the rear set. has anyone actually purchased a set though to see if you could just dremel out the correct shape and still attach them? i'm pretty sure flaps are only about $45 on eBay, and i was going to try it, but thought i'd ask if anyone else had first.

Heh, you may as well raise the fit 10" if you're going to add those.

well, for now mine's still at stock height, so it IS 10" higher than it should be. i just like the look of mudflaps. always have. plus, they only sit about 1/2" below the bumper.

It looks pretty good if you remove the (rear) sport lip, then you can install the OEM mudflaps. Someone's done that around here...

I've been waiting for that answer for a while... I've also thought that maybe using a Dremel one would be able to make them fit... but I haven't tried it yet.

if you try it, lmk. if not, i'll probably buy a set next month and try it myself.

in case it's not real well known, i was doing some searching on here and found that the sport rear bumper is the same part # as the base rear bumper, so the rears "should" fit without modification.

Unfortunately it's toward the end of my long list of mods still to do... Probably right before the sunroof

I still have to install some JDM parts I've had since Jan., but I'm waiting for another shipment from Japan to install them all at the same time...

I had asked the same question months ago, and no one knew if it could be done... I was also thinking about just removing the side skirts, but I'm not sure how that would look.

So I guess who ever gets to it first post back experiences on it.

I believe the rears should fit but the fronts you dont get the clearance due to the side skirts
