I don't understand the recurrent comments about braking. The following figures are from a
Popular Mechanics comparison of a Fit Sport AT (with OEM Dunlops) with a Ducati Hypermotard (with Brembo brakes):
30-0 Braking distance in feet:
Ducati: 30.1
Fit: 30.6
60-0 braking distance in feet:
Ducati: 122.4
Fit: 122.3
As a rider, I'm aware that motorcycle stopping distances, especially for a bike with a short wheelbases like the Duc, are constrained by weight transfer, but still, these are respectable figures from the Fit. With grippier tires, the Fit should be able to improve on these distances, possibly to sub 120 feet.
Here are some stopping for some high performance cars from
Motor Trend magazine:
PORSCHE 911 TURBO 111 ft
FERRARI F355 114 ft
TOYOTA SUPRA TURBO 115 ft
CHEVROLET CORVETTE 116 ft
MITSUBISHI 3000GT VR-4 116 ft
ACURA NSX-T 120 ft
DODGE VIPER GTS 129 ft
