How many miles can you get after the gas light comes on?

Before you run out of gas that is.

When the light goes on, about how much gas is left?

i give it 30 miles max.

i have driven well over 40 miles after the light was
on. Just wouldn't recommend doing it all the time.

From my observation, it seems to come on when there around 1.5 gal left which would conservatively give you 45 miles, though you could probably push it farther.

I've put 10.634 gallons into the 10.6 gallon tank before, but I don't recall how many miles of that was with the light on. Probably a lot, actually. I was shutting the car off completely down hills and letting the clutch out in gear to restart it at the bottom of hills by the end. I didn't think I'd find a gas station (I'd been looking for 30-40 miles).

I think the manual says there is 1.5 gallons left when the light comes on and then a small reserve (< 1 gallon). Most miles I've gotten on a tank yet is 351.3. if there is nearly 2 gallons left and you are driving on the highway, i guess it's conceivable to get 80 miles with the light on.
