So You Think You Know Your GE8?

I love games, don't you?

Guess what these things are, or at least where they are on your vehicle. Some are very easy, while others are just too darn difficult. People who have ripped their Fits apart would recognize some of the obscure parts. Person who guesses them all get rep points (once I figure how that works). LOL.

That's it for now. More when these five are identified.

the fourth one is one of those sponge thingies from the bottom of that piece that covers the spare tire.

I think the 5th one is the underside of the plastic piece where the wipers are.

I thought it might a salt lick for when I'm transporting my cattle in the Fit with the seats in the tall mode.

Year, month, first day digit, second day digit.
Year = 2008
Month = August
Date = 25

I'd guess that is the date of manufacture?

Or maybe an expiration date for when the car goes bad, sour, and chunky, like milk?

Ouch.......... I used to have lots.

I lost them due to deleting some posts.

Anyhow............ 1, 4, and 5 are correct. Two more to go.

The next 5 are even harder.........

Perhaps one of the sponsors can donate a prize or two for the winner instead of me giving rep points (which I can't).

The day the car fell off the assembly line?

The day the tech last "got down and got funky"?

The Day of the Downward Arrow?

The day the car left the plant?

Pay day?

Sale at Penneys with extra markdowns?

Day the engine was put in the car?

Does it have anything to do with Little Debbie's Snack Cakes in Banana Twins flavor?

If not, why not?

Note: I'm pretty sure I've been coming down with something. I don't know what. I can't focus on much of anything. I'm just rambling. Sorry!

What is the second one? Looks like something might latch/clip over whatever that is. The white sides look like they have locking tabs of some sort.

The center portion, well, it's obviously a hole.

So, via brilliant deduction, it's that hole without a cover. You know. THAT hole. As shown in the photo. Without the hole cover.

They should show back up if you get back over 50 posts. You can have rep which you do because of all the green squares but it doesn't show how much if you're under 50 posts.

if i had to guess, the arrow cover would be the cabin air filter doorway.

the plastic arrows are indicators of when the plastic bit was manufactured, and the arrow pointing down would indicate airflow direction

I have a question about air flow direction and arrows. They don't make sense.

If the arrow points down, does that mean that the air flow should originate at the base of the arrow and exit through the top of the pointy part of the arrow?

Or, should the air enter where the arrow is pointing?

There are arrows on my fan air filters. I figured it has to be the base of the arrow where the air is to enter, which puts the reinforced side where the air exits. Making the entry point have more filter coverage than would be present on the other side with the metal/cardboard reinforcement.

Someday I hope to have a lobotomy so I won't have to try to figure out air filters. It would be nice not to see everything from a multiple standpoint.

Ding, ding, ding............. absolutely correct. The large arrow points in the direction of the air flow.
