WHERE can I get a HONDA FIT LENSE for my HEADLIGHTS?

Hey Everyone!!!

My driver's side front headlight is scratched up by a car that hit me. Is there any way I can get a headlight lense rather than get the whole headlight replaced? How much will it cost?

Buffing it will not work. It's gauged in completely in the plastic.

Please HELP ME!!

Thank you....

CBCgirl

I doubt it is seperate. Look here. No listing for the cover itself. You could call a dealer and ask.

Send a message via AIM to cab0053
you can also try bernardiparts
I believe that they are a vendor here as well.

In the trim section it gives the option of which plant the car was assembled?

so weird.

the headlamp is one unit, i think. you'll have to replace the entire assembly.

depending on how bad it is, you can wetsand it and polish it. my headlamps were deeply scratched up from a fenderbender earlier this year but i managed to clean it up pretty good.

eBay. There is always a headlight for an 09 (which I'm assuming you have because this thread is in the GE8 section) floating around. Shouldn't be hard to find right or left side. A quick search came up with this:

Left hand side (BASE model 2009 fit)
07 08 09 HONDA FIT OEM FACTORY DRIVER HEADLIGHT LT LEFT:eBay Motors (item 250513660978 end time Nov-12-09 12:57:05 PST)

Left hand side (SPORT model 2009 fit)
Honda Fit 2009 09 LH Headlight D1057 OEM:eBay Motors (item 230393768967 end time Nov-28-09 16:53:32 PST)

if you can get your hands of a used set you can bake the lights a replace the lens(Im assuming when you say lens you mean the clear part of the housing) I have a used set but Im suppose to do a retro fit but after Im done(no telling when) I can sell to you for cheap...

This thread is why this forum is so useful.
Even $200 @ isn't the end of the world, and I'm sure E-bay is another option. The aero lights in modern cars do degrade over time; the ones in my wife's VW are in poor shape, and replacing them- parts plus taking most of the front end apart-could easily cost over $1k. We're going to trade the car, but we'd have to do something if we were to keep it. The problem is not just scratches on the clear lens; the reflectors can also degrade.
Anway, I'm happy to see that changing the Honda's lights out won't completely break the bank if I have to replace them, and they don't appear to be too hard to change out, tho' the front bumper does have to come off.

It's extremely easy to change them if you take the front bumper off. But, I have read of people on this forum getting lucky and removing the headlights without having to remover the bumper. Just set aside an hour or so. It's not that bad.
