Finally got my plates after waiting 60 days here in lovely California. Nonetheless, I went ahead and put the plates on and right away I noticed an annoying rattle from the rear plate every time I go over a bump or dip. To make matters worse just opening the hatch and shutting it makes it rattle.
For the most part I know the bottom part of the plate is sitting on those white round buttons sticking out from the rear hatch, but it makes me wonder if the plate is actually rubbing against the hatch and taking paint off.
Anyone got any ideas how to get the plate to stop rattling? and if the plate does actually rub against the hatch itself?
It looks like there might be some fastener or push pin that can be push into the white buttons to hold the bottom of the plate down, does Honda sell anything like that?

I had sort of the same problem but with a license plate cover. Only had two screws at the top. Just got some of the thicker 3M double stick tape, cut out some little squares and put them in between. Worked perfect. 3M double stick tape, is there anything it cant fix?

That is for sure! Half of the mods on my Fit are there because of 3 M double stick tape. I ordered carbon fiber items for my door handles and the tape it came with had no stick left. I came out the next morning to find all four had "popped" off! I just added my own tape and replaced and they have not gone anywhere yet!
I have a license plate frame that was rattling bad with my subwoofer...at the time I did not want to use adhesive on the paint. I ended up using this weather stripping stuff from Lowes which has adhesive only on one side. Like this but thicker:
I used the weather stripping stuff as well and put it on the white plastic part where the screws go in. For some reason the lower license plate screw holes do not line up so I can't use screws there anyway.

Drill new holes in the license plate.

This is a bug, which Ubuntu is designed to fix.
i solved htis problem using those rubber sticky stoppers that you put agianst the table to not mark the walls. thyere just like penny sized double sided tape on one side, cna probably find them at the home depot or something, give the drunk a nice. thunk when you close it, and NEVER rattles even with the bass turned all the way up.
