I had the same problem with the key ring, tried to start the car in the morning after not driving it for 1-3 days and battery was dead. Happened a few times, then I finally decided to get rid of the key ring and never had any battery problems since.

I doubt if a keyring LED would kill a battery in 3 days. Sounds like some other electrical problem.
I wired my keyring like KoolKev suggested to work with dome and no problems.
i agree with you on this in can't be the key ring.
i had my car sit 3 days at a time also went on vaca
for a week and it still started no problem.
funny thing is my key ring is on all the time. it's either
blue or flashing red.
so you either have another problem somewhere else or just
a bad battery.
the bad battery has happened to a few people on here
already. even to me.
but the best way to go about it is process of elimination.
I have upward of 25 individual led lights 14 superflux 4-chip LEDs and 8 LED strips. I have left everything on for 8 hours straight and not had the battery go dead. Check your wiring.
how about we stay away from name calling and stay on topic.

exactly, give the guy a little vacation for doing that.

I think you wire it to your dome you will be ok.
People who may be getting away with it may do more highway driving.
My suspicion is driving city or shorter distances does not keep the battery fully charged.

With or without a tiny LED, the combination of a small/weak stock battery, short trips only, and letting the car sit for a day or two will kill the battery.
I'm running a tiny Deka battery, and I've got my LED ring wired to be on 24/7. As long as I drive the car enough (read: my 2 mile commute, and a trip of at least 10 miles once a week) it's been fine - even all winter. The amount of power one of those LED's use is laughable.
Ive had one of these installed on my car for over a year now and have not had any problems with a draining battery. The Fit is my daily driver but there are times when I have to drive my other car and the Fit sits during the week. Yet its never failed to start when I needed to drive it. I have mine wired to be on 24 hrs.
