I've had one on my GD for two years, it's definitely saved the front of the hood from chips. I do take it off every so often and clean and wax under it.

Does the bra itself cause any wear and tear to the paint? How easy to put on and off?

They are a good thing IF AND ONLY IF you take it off once in a while, wash it, and wash under it/the rest of the car. If you leave it on, dirt/crap will get under them and turn it into sandpaper. Also, with UV exposure, you may well get a tan line.

Coming from a Jeeper, they're junk. For a Honda, if you take proper care, it's not a bad thing- Mark W.

Any dust, dirt, grime get between the bra and the paint you can think of it as a real fine sand paper working on your paint. You really have to stay on top of keeping things clean and waxed or you'll end up having to repaint the front end.

I bought one of these last year and only put it on during the winter months or if I am planning a long road trip. It was very easy to apply and remove and when I removed it for the summer a few weeks ago, there was no damage done to the paint and no difference that I could tell in paint color (no fading). I did take it off once during the winter though to give it a quick cleaning which is highly recommended. Def a good product to have.

Is the bra flexible? Does it move at all or is it a really strong magnet? It sounds interesting IF it doesn't fly off and IF it doesn't destroy the paint when it lifts off. This sounds like a great alternative to a deflector, vinyl bra, or adhesive.

The ones I have used were all factory made ( well, sold, since the car companies do not make them themselves) They do work if properly cut and then removed often to clean out under them as other posters have said. In spite of that, I have had paint damaged no matter how much care I took. If the fit isn't perfect, they vibrate at speed, hammering the paint with the cover itself, and whatever dirt is underneath. In the future I will get the clear one put on..it's permanent, but pricey.

be warned

This item will eventually damage your vehicle. Its got tons of issues- sharp edges, plastic that covers magnet sticks to hot hood, is a real pain to get bubbles out when installing. The list goes on....
Ask yourself why doesn't this company have independent reviews. Its because its a good idea but a flawed product.
Go with the clear film that shops are putting on!
