Cleaning the interior of the fit.

I have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport, and it being my first NEW car (got all others used), I am finding myself wanting to keep it in tip top shape and appearance. Since the interior is black, you can see EVERYTHING on it, and it seems to love pet hair. Everything is currently in bloom, and pollen is everywhere. With all that, what tips and tricks do you guys have to keep your interior looking nice and new.

All I do is shop vac it, and wipe down everything with water (so it doesn't leave streaks).

-no kids
-no pets
-no food
-no smoking
-no hauling dirty stuff
-only bottled water for drinks
-keep windows shut when dusty outside

Extreme? Certainly.

Clean? Heck yes, with little effort.

distilled water spray and wipe down, and keep it vacuumed. That's it!

Honda fabric is known to be very resilient and stain resistant, fyi. Some other car makers use matl that will get permanent staining from just getting wet once!

I posted this a while back. I found out by accident that a micro fiber drying towel ,slightly dampened works wonders on picking lint, pet hair and dust. Even refreshes the fabric in high wear areas. Vac the worst off, then wipe with dampened microfiber towel. You will need to wash the towel between fabric cleanings, as lint and pet hair will redeposit. Got mine at a dollar store for 3-4 bucks.

I'm trying one of those As Seen on TV window cleaners. Just spray the window with plain water and wipe with the long handled wiper and it looks good. I do not know how it will be long term?
