Aftermarket rear sway bar for a 2013 Fit base model?

My fiance and I drive a 2013 Honda Fit and 2013 Subaru Impreza, both base models. I recently installed a rear sway bar on my Impreza (it came with only a front) and the improvement in handling was significant. To quote my better half: "This is awesome, can you put a bar on my car??" I would love to do something similar on the Fit. I see that the Progress RSB is listed as only working on 08-12 models. Does anyone know if the suspension changed for 13 or would that bar fit? Also, could you recommend any other rear sway bars for the 2013 base model?

Thanks! Can anyone else confirm and/or recommend an aftermarket sway bar other than the Progress one?

My car is a 2013 Honda Fit Sport on which the rear axle already have BUILT IN INTEGRATED Sway bar from Honda Factory,
and yet, I still feel my car lean a lot on corner and understeer heavily.
When I upgrade my whole suspension,
I will surely be installing Rear Sway Bar. (Double sway bar configuration just like many people do it here).

From what I read,
Many people here who have Honda Fit Sport on which the rear axle already came with Rear Sway Bar integrated into the rear axle are FINALLY happy when they add 19mm Progress Rear Sway Bar. (Double Sway Bar)

so since your base model do NOT have integrated Rear Sway Bar in the rear axle, a thicker then 19mm Progress Rear Sway Bar should do better for you.

but unfortunately nobody is selling thicker sway bar then 19mm Progress,
so your choice is limited to the maximum of 19mm Progress sway bar.

I really recommend you to buy the 19mm Progress sway bar.
here are the list of seller that I found so far and selling them at very cheap price (BRAND NEW):

$169 SHIPPED at:
2009 Fit Suspension Page

and $158 SHIPPED at:
Progress Rear Sway Bar | 62.1061 | Sway Bars | Honda Fit | K Series Parts

if you after installing Progress Sway Bar you still not happy and think you can take advantage from even firmer sway bar,
you can always 2 things,
First is to change your rear spring with stiffer one,
(SWIFT spring is the highly recommended one here for handling and not lowered your car too much),
or
if you still want more flat handling then you can buy the Honda Fit Sport Rear Axle (with integrated sway bar) and then install your progress sway bar on to it.

I am planning to sell my Honda Fit Sport Rear Axle (with integrated sway bar),
after I finished replacing mine with the JDM RS Rear Axle
(rear disk brake conversion),
and my 2013 Honda Fit Sport so far had less then 2000 miles on it,
so my Sport rear axle is REALLY like brand new !!!

But of course the rear axle assy is going to be much more expensive,...
so it might not be the most economical way.
I plan to sell my 2013 Honda Fit Sport Rear Axle for $700 SHIPPED to your door,
and my Sport Rear Axle will include all the drum brakes, hoses, parking brake cable etc etc,
so it will be a direct swap without any need to buy any other parts
(you still had to re used your wheel sensor though)...
and after you do this sway, you can sell your Standard/Base Rear Axle for at least $500 (or more), so basically you will be paying just $200 or less for my Sport Rear Axle.
Remember your car is a 2013 also, so your rear axle will sell for a good price too considering your base rear axle is almost like brand new !!!
I see People and junk yard able sell their 2010 (BASE MODEL) with around 50,000 miles rear axle for $700 shipped !!!,
so I am sure you can sell your rear axle for $500 very easy since your's are 2013 !!!

Actually if you are located in Southern California, I will sell you for cheaper price since I don't have to pay shipping cost.

but of course,
for now it is best for you to just buy a 158 to 169 bucks Progress sway bar first and see if you already satisfy with the improvement or not.
If you already happy, then no need to spend more money

bmw is a suave salesman. love his pitches.

anyway. best bang for your buck if you want to buy brand new is progress rsb ($150-200 shipped). if you want JDM and willing to shell big bucks, go buy the Cusco $200-300 shipped from Japan.

that being said, wafulz friend's cusco is dirt cheap. i'd go buy it.

The Problem is,
I might be doing ok at Pitching Vendors / Other People stuff,
but not good at selling my own stuff hahaha

I still have several of my personal stuff unsold on the For Sale section here at fitfreak...

The rear springs are also different between Base and Sport. Different part numbers. Honda literature says nothing about this, but I assume the Sport rear springs are stiffer.

I put a sport rear axle on a base fit, keeping the springs and all else the same. I really like the set up. Better than the a 2009 sport I drove for 60K miles.

Keep an eye on that Progressive rear bar, it occasionally pops on ebay for $135 shipped. Its like they know when I dont have the "fun" funds and post it, then when I do, the seller disappears

Ive seen it TWICE in the last 4 months. And its been a 3 day auction both times
