How to install rear tow hook?

I know it's bolt on to the oem tow hook, but I looked under my car and can't find the oem hook. Do I have to remove the plastic cover to reveal the hook? I own a 2013 Honda Fit Sport. Any help is appreciated!

You can't install an aftermarket one? I think I have seen it done before...

The oem hook is in a plastic tool roll with the jack handle and lug wrench, it's in the spare wheel compartment of my car. You remove the front or rear bumper plugs to access the threaded holes for the hook.

So the oem hook isn't already installed under the rear bumper? I'm not sure what rear bumper plugs you talking about though, pictures may helps...

our tow "hook" is just abigass bolt with a ring for a head that screws into the holes on either front or rear of car.

If you want a rear centered hook, buy the $130-150 towhitch and get a hitch style hook. Keep in mind the hitch style is usually limited to 2,000 pounds, where as our threaded hooks are rated for almost double the weight of the car (to make up for sudden lurches and whatnot while towing)

My problem is I don't see the oem hook under the rear bumper of my car... See this video where there is a hook to install the aftermarket one:

Here's what my car looks like, and my question is if the oem tow hook is inside the plastic cover?

5 people have either told you that the one you bought will not work without modification, or shown you how the OEM one works. How many more times or how many more ppl do you need to hear from before it sinks into your head that what you are looking for does not exist on your fit?!?!?!?

your video is of an Accord, not a Fit. I don't understand why you think they are the same.

Honda already cheaped out all over the place to build the Fit, do you really think that a fit would have two different rear tow hook systems? Scratch that, how many cars can you name with two different rear tow hook systems?

lets make this simple.

look at the back of your fit. find the exhaust tip. Look above and to the right, that small round cover is where the factory eye bolt screws into.

At front, look under driverside headlight.

Honda moved from a unibody-towing location to a removable one in hopes of cleaning up cosmetic appearances

13fit has all the information you need. The same tow hook system was used on the Mazda 3 I had. My Fit has a small black tool bag for the jack handle, lug wrench and the tow hook/with round eye. It's in the spare wheel well on my car.

The older built in tow hooks were installed to tie the vehicle down in transit. Most older cars had one in each corner. Some were removable, MGB for example.

I don't post photos to this forum because it will not allow me to post directly from my computer.

This thing?

The description of the aftermarket tow hook says it will fit this generation of Fit, but it doesn't seem like it.
