List of service bulletins (TSB) / other Honda info for the GE8

I figured it was about time to start a list of technical service bulletins (TSBs) for the GE8. I intend to keep this first post as current as possible, so if there's a bulletin that you find that isn't here yet, PM me and I'll add it.

*NOTE*: It looks like Honda is blocking downloads of the TSB off their site, so all the PDF links below do not work. I don't know if this is a temporary issue or permanent... the non-PDF links should work though.
*NOTE2*: It also looks like somebody is having the TSBs removed from scribd. If somebody wants to point me to a place I can post them, I'd be happy to put them somewhere... until then, PM me if you need one of these...

Recalls
Lost Motion Spring
The lost motion springs in the engine's variable valve timing and lift electronic control (VTEC) may break. In rare cases, the broken pieces of the lost motion spring may jam the rocker arm and cause the engine to stall and prevent it from being restarted. An engine that stalls while driving increases the risk of a crash. Lost-motion spring may bend or break, causing abnormal noise and/or engine stalling. Owners will be notified starting in March, more details available from Honda: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/mainten...ing_recall.asp

Safety Recall: Lost Motion Springs (11-010) (PDF) (thanks rhyneba and z06dustin!)

The recall only affects some 2009 with VINs in the range JHMGE8...9S000027 to JHMGE8...9S075923 and JHMGE8...9C000005 to JHMGE8...9C007783 and 2010 Fits with VINs in the range JHMGE8...AC000001 to JHMGE8...AC013589. Dealers will do an inspection to check whether the vehicle has the affected springs, and if so, repair requires installing new lost motion springs and performing a valve adjustment.

That doesnt apply for GE8's, it calls for 2002-2008.

Good info...

But... if this thread goes sticky... something else has gotta come off.

Like the pioneer thread... not quit sure what it has to do with the GE8

I have some hosting space (you can PM me for my email), or you could use Scibd -- here's a sample with the Fit PDI: 2009 Honda Fit Pre-delivery Inspection

EDIT: oops know-nothin beat me to it .

Scibd looks pretty slick. I would just go with that but if it does not work out, my offer for hosting still stands. It will be nothing fancy. A page with a list of PDFs and you click on them to view/download each one. Whatever works the best is fine with me.
