FYI - replacement wiper blade size and type

Rather than buying Honda rubber blades, I opted to buy the blades from Walmart and other shops because it's damn inconvenient to replace the rubber only.

For 2009 Honda Fit Sport:

Front Driver: 28 inch ( I bought "Michelin" )
Front Passenger: 14 inch (Anco was the only brand it had in this size)
Rear: 14 inch "rear" type. (example: TRICO 14-B "rear")

They are working well.

I have done both. Fortunately I kept my original blades. The last time I bought Honda inserts and they put them in for free. Only $16 for both. And they clean so much better I find.

Thanks, we need more like this, maybe a permanent spot for DIY finds and fixes.

Can you provide instructions or link to how to do it? I don't want to just start prying things here & there without knowing where. it seems the hook in the Michelin instructions doesn't come off of the stock blade frame easily.

Replacing wipers with inserts is easy- does not take a brain surgeon. FWIW, Costco is now selling "Goodyear Assurance" wiper arms and blades that fit Honda Fits. The arms have enough joints to make the blades truly conform to the curves of the windshield, and have airfoil-shaped wings on the arms to force the blades into intimate contact with the glass- no skips in the blade sweeps. I installed a set on my wife's Scion XB and was impressed with the fit and conformance to the windshield. They have lengths for Fits also. I will try these when my Fit needs new wipers.
