Maintenance Minder

Maintenance Minder
Hello,
I have a second hand 2008 Fit, only 40k mileage.
The maintenance minder %15 oil life B12 with wrench has come on.
I was quoted around $300 from local Honda dealers, and I would like to get the oil and filter change done elsewhere for around $30 and change the filters myself if possible.
I am not experienced with car mechanics and this is my first car.
I am pretty sure I can rotate the tires myself, and I need to put winter tires on anyways so that will cover that aspect.
How difficult would it be to perform (2)
-Replace air cleaner element
-Replace dust and pollen filter
I had a safety inspection about a month ago so most parts should be working fine as far as the maintenance inspection goes.
Thanks
Mike

I doubt it is going to be much different (I have an 07) but changing the filter behind the glovebox is maybe a 15 minute job at most and same with the engine filter.
Should cost around $25 for both filters, depending where you buy them.
Edit:

I usually use tyc for the cabin, there are other brands though. If a fram is cheaper, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
Engine - fram, oem or wix...whichever is cheaper at the time.

I ordered the cabin air filters online for $10.49.
It takes less than a minute to install, and you save quite a bit!

Some people use them, but I wouldn't.
They are not filtering as well as the oem filter and I wouldn't want to damage the engine with dust particles of larger size getting into the engine from the use of a reusable k&n filter.
The oem filter is 10$ where I buy them and they last 25-30K miles.
Why would I want to use K&N?

I feel like a K&N drop in is kinda like a lateral move. It's still about the same kind of air flow. I'd rather just keep changing a paper filter regularly than spend 40$ (or whatever it costs) for the k&n.
However, I am currently considering the K&n cold air intake, which some would argue makes only a small difference if any, but at least it would allow better airflow since you are removing some of the baffles of the stock air box.
