Vibration in hatch panel

Hi, I have a 2013 Fit Base, and it's developed an annoying vibration in the hatch area, especially when driving at higher speeds. I've seen previous topics about vibration with varying causes, so in order to narrow it down, I had someone sit in the back and try to find the sound. When my friend lightly pressed on the plastic hatch panel on the driver side, the sound stopped, so it's definitely coming from the panel or something underneath.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any tips on how to reduce the sound? Is it worth removing the panel and seeing if something is loose underneath? Is the panel easy to remove? Thanks!

I actually had the same problem in my 2011 fit sport. I stuffed a bit of cardboard (thick enough to fit fairly tight) between the window and hatch panel and that stopped the vibration.
