Does it give you accurate route when you mount the GPS mouse on top of the windshield? I vaguely remember that they suggest to mount it on a level flat spot. If it works, that seems to be a good location. What did you use to glue the mouse on? And how did you route the wire to the windshield? It looks very nice and neat.
Just offered $500 at 6ave for the F90. Hopefully they take it, how long did it take them to accept for the people that have also done this?
I did it on a Saturday, think I got the response on Monday.
Mine showed up at our shipping dept at work today, but I haven't had a chance to run by there and get it. The XM module is back-ordered. The Bernardi parts got to me the fastest. The Amazon nee Metra wiring kits are rattling around somewhere in the US mail. Hopefully, they'll show up tomorrow.

its very accurate, and the gps antenna isnt glued on, the pad is some sort of metal, and the antenna is magnetic. i just routed the wiring under the headliner, then down under the weather strip, under the steering wheel column then to the head unit.

Can anyone who's used the Honda Pilot Metra dash trim kit post up a link. I've searched Amazon and found all the Metra parts but the trim kit. Thanks in advance.
Has anyone found an adapter kit that definitely fits in the honda double-din faceplate and allows you to mount a single-din radio?
Bluetooth a2dp is important to me, and it sure looks like hacking other GPS software into the AVIC resulted in a mess from a usability standpoint (rebooting to get sound to work?). So the AVIC is out for me, and I'm instead wanting to put a standard stereo in that has Bluetooth, USB, etc and just use a standalone GPS. I'm sure that one of the double-din-with-pocket kits would work fine, but I'm not sure which one!
How difficult is the hardware bypass to allow video to be played while driving? Would doing this mess up the gps?
It's trivial, and is unrelated to the GPS function. You move one wire in a connector, then ground that wire and the Parking Brake wire to any available ground (most metal surfaces under the dash qualify) or even the ground line on the wiring harness. Link with Pictures.

i just recently installed a single din cd player in my 09 fit sport
I used the factory navi dash trim panel piece for the 09 fit sport navi
and i am using a metra kit for a 95 integra 4 door
it fits fight in perfectly with no gaps or spacing problems.
The image of the installed double-din unit on this product looks like a similar trim piece to our vehicles. It's for a 95 acura integra as well. Any thoughts?

Any chance I could talk you into posting a pic of that install? I'm really curious to see what it's going to look like with a Single-DIN setup. I've swapped the stereo in every other vehicle I've owned, so I don't know why I'm so hesitant to replace this one!

i ama bout to make a thread right now...my friend took some pictures...and i am trying to upload it right now
dude i just stated on the post above you..tha ti used a 95 acura kit...
I was simply posting a link of a double din 95 acura kit for others to see, in reference to your comment about using a 95 acura kit. You didn't post a link and yours was a single din install. Don't get upset, I wasn't trying to out do you. Yes, you get the credit for discovering the 95 acura kit fits. Sorry if you felt like I was stepping on your toes.

So I only need to order the OEM center panel but NOT the mounting bracket if I get the Metra kit as you suggested?
