09 fit with sound system single din *Pictures*

System Components:
Source - Pioneer Premier 750
Front Speakers - Diamond Audio D3 components
Speaker Amp - MTX 404
Subwoofer - Digital Design 1012 in custom ported enclosure
Subwoofer Amp - Diamond Audio D6 450.2
Battery - Kinetik HC800
Wires - Hooker Audio 0 Gauage Dual Amp Kit, Hooker Audio RCAs

Install was done by Rock Star Designs

Picture time

Single Din Headunit, I used the OEM NAVI PANEL TRIM PEICE and 1995 acura integra single din dash kit for the install.

The tweeter were placed on the door instead of factory location.

The box and sub

Yeah I officially have no trunk space.

The battery, the post were on the wrong side. The OEM positive cable would not reach, had to extend the wires with a nice trick. Hard to explain, maybe I get a better picture later.

One amp, used quick connects for the sub wire to easily remove the sub and get to spare tire.

The other amp.

Both amps

Where my wires are hidden and distribution block =)

On the dash install, did you use just the Honda Dash Panel (77251-TF0-G01ZA) or did you find that the "Honda Audio Bracket" (77255-TF0-000) that is referred to in other threads was also necessary? I am not clear on what the latter item is/does, and don't want to waste cash/shipping on unecessary parts.

Thanks!

I didnt install it, but all i supplied to the installer were 77251-TF0-G01ZA and the 1995 acura integra kit. I dont know if he did any other mods to it, but I doubt he went to buy the audio bracket because he didnt charge me extra. He said it would cost me XX.XX if I supplied all the parts, so I am going to assume no other parts were needed since I didn't get charge extra.

Your system must THUMP!! With my system, I sometimes see my headlights dim a little when the bass hits or the AC compressor kicks in. Do you notice that with the Kinetik battery installed? Im thinking of buying that exact battery but Im not sure if it will help.

i didnt notice any major dimming...but i never checked to see if there is any light dimming...i will pay attention tommarow at night when i bang the system around

i want to get it measured...i had a similar set up in my old integra sedan and i hit 141.1 db..but it was a different box....and a smaller amp..now i have a new box (same specs) and new and bigger amp...it mite be louder..might not..really depends on the box.....

I didnt notice any type of dimming what so ever, not on the headlights, not on the dash either.

I dont know if wires have an issue in this or not, but just keep in mind i have 0 gauge wire from my amp to my battery
well 4 gauge wire from both amp to the distributor block than 0 gauge after that

Sorry, no offense intended, I just had visions of a Fit sitting at a stop light with the windows rolled up and the body panels bulging out with the beat. I have a friend that is a professional installer and competes in sound competitions, but it's usually with things like full-size SUVs.

As a caveat to others, 141 db is significantly above the level that causes permanent hearing damage with short-term exposure, and is above the threshold for pain.

141.1 db is nothing.....spl competitions system hit 150-170 easily anytime anyday

and i dont think my old system was a constant 141.1 db..that just when it was at it max.....

i do like all that you have done especially with the stereo. i look to do the same but install the flip up touch screen Pioneer AVH-P5100DVD. I have already installed pioneer speakers all around. and i have big plans for the trunk. i have one 12 inch pioneer 1400w subwoofer going where the spare tire is. and then i am building fiberglass enclosures up the sides of the car and painting them the same color as the car and putting two more matching 12's there. i haven't decided where I'm putting my amps. I have a Kicker 08ZX650 4 channel to run my speakers and a Kicker 08ZX850 2 channel to run two of the subs and a 1300 watt US Amp to run the sub in the middle. and instead of getting a bigger battery i just bought another battery so i dont have issue with the dimming of the lights. so i got a lot to do yet but once im done ill post pics asap

i just figured gettin a massive battery would work and save the trouble of changin the alternator and upgrading the stock battery. reason im puttin so much bass in is cause i plan to show the car at car events just to throw somethin different out there and maybe win a trophy or two. after my sound system is done im goin to look into gettin air ride suspension cause i love it on my motorcycle and i finally found a site that does bolt on lambo door kits for the 09'

Looking good!, would def be interested in seeing more pics of the battery setup. Where is your ground located? Back to the battery or in the hatch area?

for some kinetik batteries, you can order them in reverse, so the positive/negative terminals are just like the ones on our stock batteries. not sure if the khc800 has a khc800r, but the 1200 has the terminals positioned like ours, and the 1400 you can order a 1400r which would put them on the correct side for fits

fit double din

u know i was gonna go single din too but i think the bottom space kinda bothers me a bit , i was gonna do like eq and such to close the bottome tray but decided to go with double din instead, here's what i did

then i changed to this

anyways i used the metra dash kit, paid $55 shipped ( got them from ebay ) comes with antenna and wire and harness , not too bad , i was gonna go with the oem honda but not sure about the bracket , o well i think im gonna repaint the dash trim and the upper glove box too , maybe a lil darker metalic i think , i dont know give it a lil meaner look

the thing about the metra is it comes with single din first , if u want double din u're gonna have to cute the lil plastic piece , once u go double u cant go single , well with a lil mod u can i guess , just keep the piece that u cut away

i have infinity kappa 63.9i all around , its 3 ways on top of each other , i want to get a tweeter mount like you do but dont wanna cut into the door , do u know if its possible to replace the oem one on the dash? as for sub i have single in the back too but the box is not ported and a lot smaller , just standard size, urs must be hekka loud lol
