You are my hero for taking all the good quality pics, well done!

So, I am going to do this now that Im confident the Honda parts etc all work as advertised

The trim piece is much needed, let us know if you find one that fits in there and LOOKS RIGHT. I hate when things look dodgy!!! great job!

You say the Trim Piece does not fit... is that the trim piece that came with the Alpine unit? Can you specify what it is about it that does not fit? pics?

From your pics it appears the unit sticks OUT from the cavity, instead of sitting flush. Is this what is becoming a problem? Im thinking you can add some spacers before attaching the unit to the bracket, so that it will sit 'back' a little bit... if you add enough nylon spacers it will eventually sit flush. no?

Ok, I think I got it now. Well, that is a bummer... I think I may have to go with the Metra kit, which supposeddly has a trim and all fits tightly together. Awaiting pics of that from the other thread... I really preferred the Honda OEM centerl panel to keep it all stock

Looks damn clean, good job!

I prefer Alpines high resolution screens (800x480), but as you said the Navi sucks. I like Kenwood's Garmin navi system, but their screens are such low resolution its a shame... Seems the perfect system is not out there yet. Must keep on waiting.

I don't have use of the garage as I moved into a new house recently and have been living out of boxes. The garage is up to the ceiling with boxes. My poor Fit is out in the rain and the elements.

Once the weather settles down, I will go ahead and install the speakers. I will, for sure, upload pics of the speaker install. I found speakers that are not only easy to install, but sound gorgeous to boot. Morel Dotech II 6 inch components. They are a little pricey, but what the heck. I commute almost two hours a day. A good sounding system is just what the doctor ordered. LOL.
Cant wait man
