GE8 Metra Kit Trim Piece

I'm not sure if it's called the trim piece or not but it's the really thin rectangle plastic and has 4 tabs the slips around the HU to cover the gap between the HU and the dash kit. When I put the piece in, it feel snug. But where I drive, I still hear it rattling when I'm on bumpy roads. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Only fix I can think of is to trash the metra kit and order the OEM nav trim from honda.

... Well that and louder speakers.

Is it the actual headunit that is hitting something and rattling? Maybe some double sided tape on some friction areas?
