Thumbs up Danielg @ Memoryfab, New Fit GE8 Build Thread

Whattup everyone!

This thread will be used for images from my build. I will also be doing some tech articles here eventually elsewhere on the boards, but this will be the main thread used for the build.

So after being in love with the Noblesse GE8 for quite some time, I decided to take the plunge....thing is.....I don't have patience to wait for parts... So I've decided to do 2 builds. Yes I know waste of time and waste of money - do it right the first time blah blah blah. Oh well, that's me. First build will be a sporty look -Mugen Kit, coils wheels etc etc. Phase 2 will be JDM front end with noblesse kit, bagged, flared/vented front fenders, flared rear quarters, low offset wheels...VIP style. There will be a bunch of misc stuff in between.

She's been mine, officially, since Monday 5/18/09. After signing the papers and everything I got around to thinking of ordering the Mugen kit + some other stuff...and I did.

Here she is, Day 3. I think I have 90 miles.

Here's a rendering of first stage. Hopefully I'll end up pretty close. There will not be a black or CF hood. Also, I'm not going to be able to get that much dish, I thinking 2" lips on some RS... and the rendering is just to show stance bagged.

So right now, I'm waiting on OEM floor mats, cargo cover, arm rest, Mugen Kit w/grill, mirror Cover, shit knob...and yellow fog film should be here soon. Oh and I already ordered the JDM rear bumper, Non LED tails.

So who knows where we'll go from here...just sit back and enjoy the ride.

ADDED * 5/21/09 *

USDM Mugen Front done!

*5/26/09*PAGE 3* Mugen Sides and Rear installed!

No coilovers - Straight to air ride. Don't you hate teaser shots?

Fairly productive day. I was going to hold off on installing all this until I figured out the suspension, but that got thrown out the window. I got too excited hahaha

Floor mats installed. WHY ARENT THE HOLES ALREADY THERE?!?!

Mugen Shift knob installed

Rear view mirror cover

Grill

Front bumper spoiler and grill installed. Also removed front plate.

Front end stage 1 complete! hahah

And for shits and giggles my big ass shift knob from the xB

I think I sold u the wheels lol. If i remember correctly, they aren't high polished lips...not like mirror polish right? I didn't mean to come off like that, we're just fans of super ridiculous refinishes with high polished lips.

Example: Tiffany blue meister s1

While I agree that the front bumper spoiler isn't the greatest looking kit out there, it is a lot nicer in person...it's not the worst looking one either. I've seen some pretty bad ones in Japan! In all honesty I got the kit because I can't wait to piece together the JDM front. The GE6,7,8 front end pieces are a little tough to come by. I have yet to see a rebar floating on yahoo japan. This should hold me over until I can piece together the rest of the JDM conversion. The entire kit will be for sale in the near future

Thanks!

We're about 30% done stripping it. The front end of the car is stock again. Just need to pull the rear suspension, LED tails, Camber shims/spacer, esam visors, roof rack etc. I'm sure there will be a lot more. I just look at the parts and think $$$ for the fit! hahah
