Post frogz BRM progress thread.

11/6/2015
I bought my 2013 ge8 about 4 months ago with 20k on it. Thanks to some of the threads(07fit916's especially lol, that fit is dope) on fitfreak I was inspired to finally start the transformation. My first purchase was a HPS SRI and Tanabe df210s. I am installing the lowering springs tomorrow with a friend , I measured the center of wheel to the car and found the drivers side was much lower than the rest of the car so I'm excited to get these on. Will update with before and after pics.

Springs feel like they have settled a little bit so I tested them out took a drive to the mountains. Almost all of the body roll is gone and my confidence in turns has increased dramatically. The intake sounds nice and provides me a bit more feedback with the engine, it feels to be a little peppier but that is probably just placebo. After I get my exhaust I am probably going to save up for Ktuner before any further engine upgrade.
Oh yeah and my neighbor who I have barely talked to gave me that JDM new driver magnet. I actually kinda like it

Installed

Next Short-term Purchases
  • New tires
  • Catback exhaust(still researching)
  • Ktuner
  • HID kit
  • JDM taillights

I've been interested in cars for awhile but only recently have been able to get into them. I am creating this thread so I can track my progress and get input from you guys. pce

What Mugen front lip do you mean?

Your list of wants is a strange mix of things. Expensive high end muffler & lip...but tacky/cheap badge & plastidip for wheels.

That won't fit your car.

It is for 09-11 Fit Sports only.

thanks for pointing that out, guess I confused myself. I am appreciate that because like I said I am new, the items on there are things I would like to do in the short term. Why do you think the badge is tacky? I think it would contrast nice with my color but I am trying to learn as much as I can and your input helps.

edit: Ah yes I saw that the rear MUGEN Rear Underbody Spoiler http://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/71510-XTK.html showed compatibility for my year while only being present on the 09-11 dropdown menu and assumed it was the same for the front lip.

I've always hated red badges on Hondas that weren't Type R's.

I fear the colors may clash a bit too.

Installed TANABE DF210'S on Saturday, took a few quick pictures. Loving the new feel on canyon roads and the looks are a plus too.

Ride height looks pretty good.

Should settle a bit lower too.

Yeah I'm really liking them so far, wouldn't mind if they settled a bit more but the increased handling is really noticeable, I feel so much more confident in high speed turns than before. i'm grateful in that I live in an area where there are plenty of windy open canyon roads not 20 minutes from town.

Pulled the trigger on the Zage Turbokit. Now just need to tap oil pan , get Ktuner, figure out injectors/fuel pump then install!
