How close is the rear wheels to the edge of the wheel well at ET35?

It depends on width.

Stock sport wheels are 6" wide with a +53mm offset.

This places outer edge of the wheel 43mm away from the fender.

An 8" wide wheel with a 35mm offset sits perfectly flush with the rear wheel well.

Best pic of mine to show 8" wide with 35mm, note how it is flush with the rear fender:

let's say it almost looks like a modded RWD car. sits pretty flush and no poke. i think perfect at my Swift's ride height.

it matches the front 16x7 ET40 stance very well (with front -1.5 neg camber).

so its a ge8 fit currently lowered on tein s techs(-1.6 drop), 195 55 rubber with 15x6.5 +35 offset wheels, approx -2 degree camber at the front , minor fender mods and 7mm spacer at the rear.. and i dont rub

was thinking of changing to 205 50 r16 rubber and some new wheels..
but after reading some posts i think no matter what offset you run you will rub with such a tyre.. correct me if i am wrong.

anyone running similar setup ?

205/50/16 is about the same as stock diameter. I'd think with camber bolts and a high enough offset you should be fine in most situations. Need to know the planned wheel specs.

195/45x16 is preferred but could get 205/45x16's to work but its very close.

Here we find with dropped suspension (1 to 1.5" drop) means maximum tire section is 195/45x16 on 7x16 wheels with 40 mm minimum offset to be the limit without making body/chassis mods that will scew trade-in value.
If you increase offset to 45mm then 205/45x16's will fit.

So there's no way I can run 205 50 16.. I'll better stay with 195 55 15. All I want to do is reduce the Fender gap but not at the cost of rubbing.

I've got some Volk TE37 wheels, 17x7.5 +40. I'm looking to run a meatier tire setup. So I'd like to go to a 16" or 15" wheel.

Anyone interested in a trade? Please have Work, Rays or other legit wheels.

PM me for fastest response.

I plan on getting enkei 92's 15x7 et38 and hoping my oem 175 tires aren't going to look too stretched. If I go to a 195 will they still fit fine? I'm lowered on Eibach pros (1.2-5")

Anyone have any input as to how much offset you can run in the front with 15's? I'm looking to buying some 2mm spacers for f/r and I assume I'll be okay.
I got truhart struts and shocks with swift sport springs and 15×7 +38 offset konig dial-ins, and no rubbing on turns.
