For my tire gurus!
Alright well I'm torn
16x7 + 40
Or
15x7 + 40
Which wheel size would you personally recommend? Why? And if I'm lowered on coilovers, what size tire and I using if I drive the car hard.

Perfect!
I want to create the ultimate daily....a drivers car. Great on gas but even better in the corners. And as you know a tire good for here in vegas.

Technically those are rim measurements; rim + tire = wheel.
Being in sunny Vegas, 16s all the way (15s do look a little small and frumpy). Go for light weight rims, which translate to forged, which translates to $$ but the little 1.5 thanks you in advance.

Thank you for the heads up that those are the size of the rims, I had no clue!
Now after finding out how big the rim should be , I'll go with a 16x7....lowered on coils a proper tire size. THEN I'll know the size of my "wheels" thanks for the help.

Probably more than what you want to know but read this and you WILL become a rim/tire/wheel guru.

Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 1 of 4
Then come here and play imaginary tire sizing to see how it affects you.
Tire size calculator
A lot of traction is nice and all but if the car does not have enough power (FWD to boot) you can't power your way through a turn, it becomes moot. Be real with yourself and ask if you want show, performance, or economy setup? It's a tough question to answer but it greatly impacts how much you spend.

I just purchased some H&R springs with a RSB and camber caster bolts. I put some Dunlop Direzza ZII's on and the thing handles great! The next step would be all out suspension, but I still use my car to carry stuff and people.

That's what tires I thinking about...I don't care about looks, I want to hurt feelings at the auto x track. 15x7 rpf1s, either 195or205 50/15s those direzza are nice . Where in Henderson are you? I'm in north.
