i guess ill throw my 2 cents in. the thing i love about superchargers are they make a small engine feel twice it size. there is more than enough debate about small engine booster. supercharger or turbo?? if you can reduce the parasitic drag associated with superchargers its a bonus. so the new rotax super charger hotness. turbos, i am coming from a mazdaspeed protege and it had a small turbo but produced damn decent torque down low. so as long as you can keep the turbo small and the spool up quick like maybe around the vtech change over point or shortly there after for a street setup. i guess tuning will play a large part. so small turbo great torque and will breathe all the way to redline. i guess you can taper off the boost close to redline. a internal wastegate may make it easier for manifold construction. cast is good and sturdy. intercooler at a low boost setting will not necessarily require a fmic you may be able to get by with a smic. more boost, fmic is the way to go. bov a must. i guess start there. go for the bare minimum and step your way up from there. get maximum boost by corky bell helped me a lot. good luck dont be afraid to raise the price to reflect better products. i think we are willing to pay for the smallest headaches possible. a scaleable kit similar to kraftworks so a low boost start with a smic, injectors, computer. a boost up kit with injectors and new wastegate actuator like 6 going up to 10 or 12psi. if the smic cant handle the extra heat by the boost up go to fmic option or upgraded smic. ic pipes are important as well coupling. bead rolled ends are something im willing to pay for. quality clamps, t bolts or v bands. the bov does not have to be actual vent to the atmosphere one. a standard diverter valve like forge. if the euros like it, its good enough for me. sorry if ive left something out. just what i would expect from a complete kit. the standard stuff like fittings and oil pan stuff are mandatory. the more complete the better. good luck. pm me if you have any other questions. i live for this stuff!!!!
