Two main reasons for the change. One, my Mazda3 is currently undergoing about $2500 worth of paint work to deal with rust and bubbling issues. It's entirely on Mazda Canada's tab since it's due to a factory defect. I know that rust is very pervasive and will likely return with a vengence. It took me 3 months of constant discussion to finally get Mazda to own up to the problem. Just don't want to deal with it anymore so I figure I'll trade it in right after the paint job is done (going on 5 days now with 1-2 more anticipated).
Also, of course, I wanted a car that is better on gas. Just happened that I started looking right around the time that I heard about this new 2009 Honda Fit. Good timing all around I'd say!
