Aluminum Pedals 2015 Honda Fit!

I knew the sources from China would eventually come out with sport pedals for the GK. They look pretty good and well built. If you installed, post another video so others may absorb your knowledge.
I went the OEM factory sport pedals for the JDM GK (gift from the wife from her last trip in Tokyo last Sept.-Nov.)

Yvan thank you.

The OEM JDM sport pedals do not come with a sports cover for the dead pedal. Most of the knock-offs do!!!
Upps, freebie is the wrong word. Guess who paid for the plane ticket and the limited shopping allowance????????
Its just you. Lets see, my niece's 6'4" Samoan x- UofH linebacker drove my GK last week and had no problem with the clutch/brake.
Best you go to a dealership and take one out for a spin. Let us current GK M/T owners know your conclusion. BTW, looking at pics is one thing, but nothing beats an actual hand-on experience - ergo, the need for that test drive!!!!

COMMENT: Glad you took that test drive!!! At least you determined that the pedal set-up is not suitable in your case. Aside from the numerous manuals my household previously owned, (the last one was an '07 FJ Cruiser - owned since '06 and sold '13), the transition of pedal set-up from one to the other didn't make any difference. However, we're all different so we gotta get what does'nt bother us when driving!!! Your point is well taken. - rttby

I am still thinking about a FJ Cruiser..ya know this is the last year they are making them!
I love the utility and the look. Not sure I would appreciate the MPG....
COMMENT: How clean the floors, you should see my wheel wells and under-carriage, they're even more spotless!!!! LOL!!!!
We loved our FJ 6-speed but those adventurous off-roading days are passing me. The 12mpg w/ a/c on in the city was driving me to the poorhouse!!!! Over 7 years of ownership and not one mechanical issue!!! Watch the resale values jump up once Toyota stops producing these. Truly an exceptional Japanese workhorse. - rttby

The last time I tried putting pedal covers that bolted on it created a safety hazard where the brake and gas pedals didn't have enough space between them. If this kit had the dead pedal that be sweet. I wouldn't drill into the floor, that's what industrial two sided tape is for!
COMMENT: Good point for safety considerations.
In fairness to Honda, the OEM sport pedals for the brake and clutch, replace the original rubber pads exactly. The existing pads have to be removed. With regards to the gas pedal, its designed to cover only a portion of the pedal. They will not extend over the outside perimeter. Rivets are supplied with the install kit thereby negating any protruding items at the rear. BTW, the instructions I got (although in Japanese, are pretty exact). - rttby

Where (at which stores) in Tokyo can you buy parts for the Fit?? I travel there for work occasionally and would be very interested in seeing what kinds of different accessories are available (such as all weather mats, cargo tray, etc.).
REPLY: Got my JDM OEM parts from Honda dealers. They would not take any orders without having a specific part # (at least for the items purchased by my wife and her relatives). For aftermarket items, send a PM to JapanTragic. He's based in Japan and deals with auto stuff. Most probably knows the main stores you can visit for GK parts. Happy shopping!!! - rttby
BTW: If mats and cargo tray are what your after, you may want to look at WEathertechs. They are tough and offer better protection in slushy conditions better than OEM mats/tray (IMO).

They're pretty nice!
You have to take the rubber off of the clutch and brake pedal and then drill holes for these. I also bought different nuts and bolts because the ones that came with it were stripping too easily. The one for the gas just goes right on and long bolts have to go through the whole thing and nut on the back. Cut these as short as possible to make sure "floored" is still available.
Loving the finish though.
