On Sale Date in U.S.?
#101
So, since tomorrow is supposed to be the on sale date of the 2015, has anyone seen any vehicles at their local dealership? Have not heard a word from salesman or anything. Seems like the "new" Fit should be at the dealers by now, or are have all the vehicles been used for car shows and promos? Anyone??????

I mentioned I wanted something very specific but would like to take a look anyways and if we like it, we can get anything ordered for one of their next allocations! Exciting!

That's good to hear. I am in Southern California and have not heard from anyone concerning specifics. Heard about anticipations, but you would think they would have actual examples for the release tomorrow. They should probably be flowing in daily.

I got a call from the dealership a few days ago and he gave me the prices which I already knew. I asked when they would be getting them in and he said "within a month." I really hope they get some in a lot sooner than a month. I'm tired of waiting

Apparently we are all getting fed the same line by our dealers.
Mine said "We have placed an order but not in production yet" and "Were still couple months away".
In one of accordguyintake's posts he shows the manufacturing date of his tester as 12/'13. Probably pre-production but still that was 4 months ago.
Anyone see them at least on a truck or train headed somewhere?

If you do a search for 2015 honda Fits on cars.com or on autotrader.com you will see that lots of dealers list cars with vin numbers. In most cases these will be cars in transport, but not yet at the dealership. But I note that some of the VIN numbers are as high as 4900. This indicates that the factory has produced at least 4900 cars.
Interestingly, most of them at black or silver. With a fair number of red and darker silver, but only 2 blues, 2 whites and no yellows are shown yet.
Also no manual transmission cars are show yet.

Talked to a few Honda dealers in my area and they all say the samething, "nothing yet but expecting some in any day now." What the heck does an on sale date mean if no one has them on there lot to sell??? American Honda has a really bad habit of doing this. They did the samething with the '14 Civic with an on sale date of Dec 4th but dealers didn't receive them until early January. At minimum a dealer should have a demo on the showroom floor so people can at least check it out.

You are exactly right and I remember the Civic debacle. Honda is at their best once again. All the hype and nothing to apparently show. I also would agree that they should at least have a demo to show on the floor, with promises of what they have coming in. Nothing too surprising here!!

My dealer (who has not posted any inventory ads online) mentioned last week that they will not be getting a manual in the first arriving batch. Wow, they actually may have been telling me the "full" truth!!!

That's why it pays to read the posts. Never thought of doing a search. Looks like only one dealer in my area is posting ads for incoming GKs and they are all EXs.

According to cars.com, the dealers still have over 6200 leftover 2013's to flog.
Given the limited supply of 2015's, it may be a while before Honda starts pushing the Gen 3's.
BTW, last week I asked the local dealer about arrival of the 2015's… "You've got to be kidding! We're having problems getting 2014's! It's gonna' be months and months before we see the 2015's coming in. Come on out here. I can make you a good price on a 2013… they're the same as the 2014's."
I once asked a dealer for a mirror, so that I could see the S T U P I D that was obviously written on my forehead

We here in the United States never got the 2014 model, but other countries did for some reason. The 2014 model Fit looks just like the 2015, at least on the outside.

Where are you from ? Here in Dunedin, Florida my dealer will have 2 2015 fits later today. Said the manager got word (unknown if true) that the 14th would be the day Honda released in mass the 2015 throughout, not months from now. However, some models will take time, and I had to order mine since the ones coming in are EX-L, but without in-dash Nav and I have to wait it out.

There's something about being a 3-time FSU grad, 30-year econ prof, that car sales types can see, or divine, "We can tell this guy ANYTHING, and he'll believe it!"
I presume the absence of a 2014, go ahead and call it a 2015, is a function of Hecho en Mexico…
Oops… I didn't answer your question. I'm in Portland, State O' Maine, almost O'Canada… and I figure it's gonna' take a while for them to make it up here

Local dealer
I received an email a few days ago telling me that the local dealer was expecting two 2015 Honda Fits on 4/14, so I called to see if they had arrived yet.
The internet sales guy started to laugh when I asked if the Fits had arrived. He said that the 2015 Fits were in the country, but Honda had not put them on trucks to deliver the vehicles to the dealers yet.
I'm on the call list to notify when the 2015 are expected.

I didn't get a call today, so I called my dealer, and the darn Fit hasn't arrived yet though they have it on the delivery sheet that says it will arrive. So the waiting begins.
