I've always gotten better than EPA mileage on the 4 Hondas I've owned from the 1980s Civic Wagon to two Civic Coupes (EX and Si) and now the 2015 Fit EX ... all manual transmissions, all A/C.

Does anyone know if they have firmware updates for the CVT as my 2015 EX seems to be getting considerably less mpg 37 versus 42 than my 2016 EX. I can see it as I drive, it just shows getting less mpg even on same roads/driving speeds and tires.

I wonder how they would do an update.

Car makers seem to be able to increase MPG from year to year, but my 2015 Fit EX CVT has been getting mid 40s.

May be the refiners going from one weather mix to another. Hardly anyone gets gas without ethanol anymore.

Was your 2015 affected by the CVT recall? From what I understand they changed the firmware.

Winter mileage always drops considerably because of cold starts and the winter blend of gasoline.

Filled up yesterday and got 47.074 mpg, my best yet on my normal commute. Using Waze, I found some back roads that avoid 7 stoplights and is shorter. It's back roads so the speeds are slower but it shaves of 3-5 minutes plus I'm not burning gas sitting at a light.

I can't use Waze because I have a limited data plan. The GPS works for me, though. I often use it when going to familiar places because it sometimes finds a shorter route.

I used waze on a 10 day road trip and from what I can recall, it used less than 300mb. For example, I'm about 4 days from the end of my plan and I use Waze daily on a 2 got round-trip commute. It's used about 98mb so far. It's pretty lightweight data usage.

I also switched to straighttalk and my bill dropped by about 40% and now I get 5gb of data for about $41 monthly.

I'm surprised it used so little. I switched to TracFone, which is less expensive than Straighttalk. We were paying $68/mo for Verizon. Now it's just a fraction of that.

I was surprised as well. I was paying about the same for at&t and only 2gb. Switched to straighttalk which can use either the at&t or Verizon network and paying less for more data and no discernible speed difference.

Most of my data is used by Pandora or Amazon for tunes on my commute. Still don't use more than 3gb a month.

Anyone else having issues with the mileage not being correct? I do 14km and I go down one line , then 40 km down 2 lines. If you had this issue how did Honda fix this?!?

What's to fix? Fuel gauges, analog or digital, are tat best, guesses. The bars are WAGS (Wild Ass Guesses). The Info Screens and the "estimated" Range Remaining and SWAGS(Scientific Wild Ass Guesses).

Then there are the conditions. Same temperature, same road, same brand of gas from the same station. And you simply don't have enough data points.

Relax, nothing wrong.

Exactly .... charmed should be paying more attention to the road and other drivers and not fret over the gas gauge

It's not an issue. If the Fit had a super accurate fuel gauge, it would cost twice as much as it does. The purpose of the gauge is to tell you if you have a lot of gas or a little. Relax and enjoy your good mileage.

I don't see any numbers on the bars, or any indication that the bars have any numeric meaning. There's nothing to fix. Repetition on many parts of the forum doesn't really change that simple fact.
