I came outside at lunch to a flat tire. Had the car for 12 days Discount Tire had a pretty good price but none in stock, so call ahead to not waste your time.

Talk about new shoes, I think tire rack lists our GK OEM tires as 185/55/R16. Can we safely get 17 inch rims on ours and throw on something like 195/45/R17 without rubbing the fenders, lowering, and having a more flush look?

Wrong wheel mine is a 2015 thats for a 2011. Either way I dont need a new wheel. Luckily I work at a Honda dealership and we have a onsite wheel repair company that comes in on fridays. Wheel will be repaired tomorrow good as new...
In a better news note my steering wheel arrived and will install tonite. I can take pics of install and do a how-to writeup if you guys want.

A41Billy a few years ago this would have put me in the mental ward. Now I'm a bit mellowed out so it irks me but I can accept it....

Good that it's getting repaired. I didn't know you could fix that kind of curb rash. Is that the passenger side? I'm wondering I can avoid that with the lane watch on the EX.

I'd be interested to see how complicated it is to install the new leather wrapped wheel yes.

Frequent flat tires are the norm for the Fit, ime. Especially with winter pot holes. Early on, I go so far as to buy a new tire and have it at the house ready to go so there is no down time and not much wait time to switch out the shot one. "Oh, you have the tire do you?" Yes I do! And when that one goes on, I get another one to keep in waiting. I'm always one rubber ahead, Tire rack is where I pick them up.

Please refer to them by the real name. They are Spoon sw388. Rota is a knockoff company making profits on someone else's design while using much lower quality parts. Rota is crap & a waste of your money.

That's good you have someone to take care of it. Otherwise with it being fairly light superficial damage the wheel could be taken to a machine shop and lightly surfaced. It would then need resealed for metal protection.

Have run Rota wheels for many years from a WRX, MazdaSpeed6, Mazda3 hatch and possably now on the Fit. They were awsome inexpensive options to some overpriced wheels. Dont for a moment think that a wheel design is 100% original to any company. The basic 5 spoke wheel shape has been around for decades...

Yea thats what this repair company will do they will be here soon. They take the wheel off and in this case take it back to their shop and put it on a lathe to clean it up then reseal it for paint protection. Cant wait till its 100%

lol

Nothing is 100% original.

Rotas are 100% replicas.

BTW, lol @ curbing wheels.

you can have that one wheel repaired or get a refurb at wheel repair shops.
might be hard to find refurbs though since the car is so new.

if i was you op, i would just get a replacement and keep that damaged one
as a spare.
