More from mexico
It seems Honda is not alone "South of the Border".....
Kia negotiating to build $1.5B auto plant in Mexico - Autoblog
"In the last few years, Mexico has become a hotbed of North American automobile production. Mazda, Honda and Volkswagen all recently opened new or expanded factories to build cars there. There are even more on the way with a joint venture plant from Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti and BMW's announcement of its own $1 billion undertaking in Mexico".

The Mexican drug cartels must be loving that river of money flowing down there.
Fact is you cannot even go to the Honda plant I was told without some sort of armed security detail. Hmm this seems like a hostile work environment.

The plant is located in Celaya, state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
I live rather close to it.
No, I don't go outside with body armor on.
Put "Honda de México S.A. de C.V., Celaya, Mexiko"
into googlemaps and take a look on your own.
The access to the Ford plants in Hermosillo, Sonora and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua however can be it bit more tricky.

I did not know that! I am glad however because I own Ford stock. With hourly labor rates what they are in Mexico, Ford should have a good year!
I am thinking about Honda stock now for the same reasons (and the fact they are about to introduce the HR-V).
