Electrical Ideas Needed
I put two switches in the blanks to the left of the steering wheel. One turns on the colored LEDs for nighttime driving, and the other turns on two (so far) 12v outlets I added. I have another switch, but I can't think of anything for it to turn on and off. Suggestions, please!

A how to would also be appreciated in the adding of the switches and the 12v power outlets.
Also where did you get the parts?
Links are appreciated.
thanks

I did that a couple of weeks ago, but I'll make a separate thread - Adding Switches. Also, Adding Outlets.

One idea that I saw on an earlier post was to use one of the blanks to implement a temporary on/off switch as a garage door opener - I think it might have been under the Homelink post.... seemed like a good idea and a way to keep your garage remote hidden and out of sight...

Here's a link to do just that. The only problem might be finding a good, hidden location for the remote that doesn't interfere too much with the signal.

There are already several cars in town with them.

I did this with my 2010. I'm not sure if I ever posted it here. Let me search....I did not. If I remember correctly, I just bought a black push button at Radio Shack and drilled a hole and put it in. I tapped into my remote and was good to go.
Good idea. I'd have to wire a push-button switch into the opener somehow.

It was really easy. I used a keychain style garage remote, and the board was small enough that I just left the board exposed and it fit right into the hole behind the switch covers. (its this one: )
It works great, I can hit the button about half way down my block and it works.
