LX vs EX - The undocumented differences

Yes, the three months of Top Ramen you'll eat to put $3300 of wheels on your $16,000 car would probably have a greater effect on acceleration than the wheels!
Typical cast alloy wheels that most people would actually buy are heavier than steel wheels, particularly in the sizes needed to run kewl rubber-band tires.

Those who want to run wider tires such as 205/50R16 without going to 17s.

Perhaps me...
To be exact, the 17" PF01 are 1.6 pounds heavier than the 16" version, and still 2.4 pounds under your aforementioned steelies.
The RPF1, which appears to me may be the most popular wheel here on FF, is only 14.6 lbs in the 7x17 size, and 3.4 pounds under your steelies.

It seems you're saving weight with the wheels, then gaining it right back with the wider tires. You end up with a greater moment of inertia because you're moving mass away from the center of rotation.
In any case, the effect is negligible, but they sure look kewl.

EX has an Aux jack inside the compartment under the armrest. It has a second USB there, and of course the USB under the heater controls next to the HDMI.

I kind of wish it did have a traditional AUX, but there are converters and adapters you can purchase to convert the HDMI to 3.5 mm Audio. (Kind of overkill maybe -- like converting Superman to Clark Kent. But sometimes Clark is what you want.) Not sure how well that works in real life, but I might purchase one and find out. We have a few devices that would make it useful.
Having HDMI allows for video to be played through the screen which could come in handy. I could see using this for maps when I want a larger display than my phone. I guess you could play movies or even video games (?) there during breaks on a long car trip or if it rains when camping, etc. (Convert seats to lounge mode, and it's starting to sound kind of fun.)
I haven't had a problem when playing music through my phone via bluetooth and using Maps at the same time. The music just gets quieter when the map voice talks. I haven't yet tried it with two separate devices -- one playing music and one voicing maps or phone calls. I'll give that a whirl sometime to compare.

I might start a new thread on this topic.
When I look up adapters, most of them convert the digital HDMI signal to VGA + Audio. Not the other way around. I think we'd want an analog audio to digital HDMI converter. Hopefully, I'll either find something or somebody will make something.

I found the same thing on my search. Frankly, the only device we have that could use one is my wife's old Sony Walkman cassette player. But her iPod Touch Gen 4 plays audio and charges on the USB with iPod selected on the head unit. But we don't even use that since all our music is on a tiny USB flash drive that hides away under the USB plug cover.

I'm not sure what version of bluetooth the EX supports, but IIRC the later versions of bluetooth audio offer a better sound quality than the analog headphone AUX jack.
I'm coming from a 2013 Accord Coupe EX-L 6MT, and bluetooth would sound better than the AUX input.
Just my 2 cents for those worried about SQ.

For decades, sound quality was improving, but now, MP3 is prevalent, often worse quality than cassette audio of the 1970s. And people actually seem to believe that a bluetooth audio link is as good as, or better than, a simple analog audio cable. Sad.
