Congrats on the new Fit. You must've gotten a flaming deal!!!!! Awaiting your pics.

My Fit amazes me too everytime I drive it!!!! May not be as fast as a Bugatti but its certainly almost unbeatable in the sub-compact category.

Nothing left of the 1st gen. in the newest model. Doesn't even look like a Fit anymore. That's sad...I just bought another 2008 yesterday. I could have bought a newer model but I hate the 2009 and up body style. The 2015 looks like every other slicky- wanna- be-a-sports car out there.

innovations

I've always wanted the first gen fit but we are in the new age... 1st gen and 2nd gen fit will get killed by gk5 (stock for stock). Don't get me wrong the first gen fit is my favorite body style...but like I said we are in the new age. 6speed manual with earthdreams technology, you can't go wrong with that.

White is the first choice, I was going for the red one but I'll have to wait another week for it, so I ended up with a supremacy

Please don't think I'm insulting you. It's a beautiful car! I guess I'm just getting older and don't like change!

None taken, but believe or not...I'm still in love with the first gen fit, the body style is just too amazing.

New Fit

Glad you got your car. I could not believe how slick that 6 speed manual is. I know you have a smile every time you shift. I do.

Yeah bro I get that smile whenever I down shift too...although I'm having trouble putting the gear in reverse, it struggles and I usually had to put in gear a couple of tries, is that normal ?

Yeah unfortunately I'm running on hubs but the 7" screen screen makes up for it...but it sucks because hondalink couldn't read my android...

I got a white lx, so I have the hubcaps too. Don't have the 7 inch though

Was that an option?

reverse

Yes that reverse can be a little tricky sometimes. I cheat and watch for the backup camera to come on. I think it will loosen up a little over time. My Escort was real notchy on the transmission when new but it got better with time.

I find popping it into second then reverse works alot better then just trying to jam it in or let the car roll a little while holding it in reverse.

for reverse I just keep the car in neutral, then push the shifter far right, then down.
Since I don't reverse too often and my GK is only one month old, I can feel when it's in reverse; it's not so "broken in" like 1st-4th gear.
