It's not a "quality" issue per se, but a design decision to replace molded plastic panels and Masonite with cheap cardboard in the GK. Gotta make up the extra cost of the sunroof, keyless entry and infotainment system somehow.

I dented my cover this weekend. I think I'm going to store some packing blankets in the cargo area to minimize the chance for a repeat blunder.

Oh man, this thread had me go out and look at mine. Dented in worse than the pic. I had never noticed and don't know when I did it. Hmmm. Wonder how to push it out.

I don't know how badly crushed your cover is. I was able to fix mine by fishing some copper tubing through an opening on the front side. I wish I could buy a Honda Fit service manual to study how to remove those covers.

It might be a good idea to remove them and add some fiberglass on the back side, assuming someone figures out how to remove them. The likelihood of denting and damage is a certainty.

I don't find it an issue, but then again, I drive my cars into the ground, so I don't really consider resale/trade-in value....yeah, it's cheap, so what??? And who, other than yourself, cares what the cargo area looks like? Cars are built to a price point, my LX is perfect for the $$$....I find the compromises made to meet said price point are totally acceptable to me...it ain't a work truck, and all...just this fool's opinion
