dashboard glare
My 2016 LX bounces glare off the dashboard, enough to engender safety concerns and cause vision impairment.
(I know that 'it never happens at night' and that I could wear dark sunglasses which would interfere with instrument readings.....
The dealer had already told that no one else has complained; today I called American Honda who told me to take it to the dealer.
I would never voluntarily look into the sun, especially while driving.
Any better suggestions?

A dashboard cover? I have a 2008 Nissan with an actual melting dash (sadly it's a huge issue for that year) and since Nissan has declined to fix/replace it I ended up getting a nice dash cover which took care of the dangerous glare problem. I'm seriously considering a Fit as my next purchase so I hope this isn't really a huge issue.

This is by no means unique to the Fit. It's been an issue to a greater or lesser degree ever since automakers began styling cars with short hoods, steeply sloping windshields and consequently deeeeeep dashboards. My '16 Fit glares a bit, but so did my '09 Fit, my '02 Dodge Neon and my '96 Dodge Neon.
Whatever you do, DON'T put Armor-All or other plastic "shine" products on the dashboard, as it just makes it worse.

This matte-finish dashboard cleaner has good reviews on Amazon:

I ordered a bottle from the manufacturer at this link (better price per ounce) but haven't applied the stuff to the dashboard yet:

I experience the dash glare/windshield reflection only on sunny days, never at night.
A decent pair of polarized sunglasses completely eliminates both the glare and the reflection ..... both simply disappear!

I found that link on Ebay for the mat. Their are others in the $35 to $40 dollar range shipped. I do not have one at present so I cannot tell you how good it is. Hoping another brave soul will order it and give report. LOL
It is on my watch list on Ebay though because of great price. Picture looks good on site.

Exactly what I was going to say. Without polarized sunglasses, the glare can be so bad as to be dangerous. Put on the sunglasses, and it disappears 95%. One of the best demonstrations of the benefits of polarization I've ever seen.

I really appreciate those who advise that there is no glare at night when the sun does not shine!
Polarizing glasses are great, and I have a good pair hanging from the rear view mirror, but they do interfere with readout from the dashboard displays....and I never wear them at night.
