is this Stock Vinyl or not - Help repair scratch
Today I had scratched the black "panel or trim" on the driver front door with my work badge. (The piece is the black vertical panel on the door's rear edge.)
As I took a closer look, plastics don't ripple when scratched, "tape" does. And this piece looks like a large glossy black tape - electrical tape!! just kidding. but it's like vinyl of some type. or is it something else?
Can the scratch be removed with a heat gun and an applicator? or does it need to be replaced.
Maybe I can ask the custom auto shop in town which does car wrapping on those hatchbacks to Lamborghini Aventador what's on my Fit.
If anyone knows anything what this part is, it'll be a big help for I can decide what to do. The scratch is about 2" long and it's bugging me.
THanks in advance.

I found the parts "black out tape" or "sash" and it's pretty much like a tape. I can prolly replace it myself one day, but I don't know if I'll have the correct solution (liquid) to help the removal process.

this's how I removed scratches from my car, well it didn't totally remove it, but it helped a lot, its hard to see them now.
1-clean it
2-use Quixx Paint Repair Pen
3-after Quixx gets dry, apply Turtle Wax Scratch and Swirl Remover on the surface with 3000 sandpaper to smooth the surface and remove the extra Quixx
4-clean it and apply the Turtle wax again with a smooth fabric to remove the fussy paint.
excuse my poor English, I hope you got the idea.
