2017's on Honda's website
I have been checking for updates on Honda's website for the new 2017 models and if you click on FIT you see 2016/2017 now.
Looks like there is no difference at all between the first 3 years. Seems to be the same engine, body, trim levels, except there is a new name for the silver paint color. WhoopDeDoooo!
Kinda disappointed to see nothing's changed. Am I the only one that thinks this way?
Granted, I have been actually looking for the new 2017 HRV specs because I may trade my FIT in for one if there is actually a difference between those model years in that vehicle (like more HP, better headlights, carplay).
I'm fine with holding on to my FIT until something comes along and I LOVE the new model. I'm just not as in love with my 2015 as I thought I'd be.

No, I'm not disappointed, but then again I have a 2015 that I'm happy with as is.
The Fit is in a stagnant part of the market with gas cheap and SUVs king, so why spend money on it as early as its third model year?
I do think we'll see better connectivity in the facelift for model year 2018 or so, but not much else for the time being.
I wouldn't even be shocked if Honda is questioning continuing the Fit to a next generation, no matter how wonderful most of us think it is (me definitely included).

Supposedly gas prices will start to increase around the first of 2017. Sometimes Honda will suspend a model (Insight or Ridgeline, for example) and bring it back later with major improvements when Honda thinks conditions are right.

I believe the test cycle has changed for 2017.

Glad to see there were no real changes. I had reserved a manual 2017 LX months ago, and finally after biking in the rain and using public transportation I bought a very slightly used 2015 EX with the transmission that i wanted for less. I would at least thought that we would have gotten projector headlights (even with crappy halogen projectors) lol I guess not. My 2015 holds it's value a little more now.

Yes, good points.

Not disappointed at all .... the GK is still "new," in terms of redesigning, perhaps a mild refresh here and there. Our '15 LX is gonna be in my hands for a long, long time....great mpg, fun to drive (Progress rear anti-sway bar well worth the $$$), manual trans.....figured, in this age of the push towards autonomous cars, this might be my last (affordable) chance to buy a car with a 6 (or whatever) on the floor....I'm old and cranky, need I say more ???

Go buy another car. No ones stopping you.
Like I said, I'm content with keeping mine for now, but hope Honda will return to its roots and put something out there that created "fanboys" in the first place.

Actually, third year here, fourth year in Japan and Asia (where the GK debuted as a '14 model).

My LX has been able to match the advertised mileage numbers without hypermiling.
I don't mind the car staying the same for a few years. It helps the car hold value and assures parts supplies for those of us who like to keep our cars for their entire lives. I'm also not hung up on making my car a smartphone accessory!

My first car was a 1974 Honda three door hatchback. All of 52 hp and 1500 lbs. Have had a lot of other Honda cars and motorcycles since then. I am not a fan boy but I do like them. Currently have a 2016 Fit LX with CVT and a Honda NT700V motorcycle as my daily commuter.

Looks exactly the same to me. I don't see even a small update except for the increase in price by $100. Might be some changes under the hood but honestly I don't see a difference except for the renaming of the silver color. I doubt Honda will make a major facelift until 2018 at the earliest but would not be surprised if we're looking at 2020 target.
I'd say for those on the fence go get the 2016 since you can now get those are bargain prices given that the 2017 is rolling out.
