passenger vent no air, hvac and other vents are perfect
I purchased a 2016 ex-l in oct. it's build date was sept. Everything about the hvac system works perfectly, air flow is perfect except there is zero air coming from the passenger vent no matter what setting.
My speculation is that either there is a plastic film or part during original manufacture that was not removed, or that something fell or was put in the vent and wasn't removed from it.
Does anyone know how to remove the vent cover for the passenger side so i can probe down into it?
Also, is the duct vent assembly one continuous piece or is it pieced together? I can't tell from the schematic. 77420-T5R-A01 is the part number.
My dealer is an hour away, I'd rather just unclog the vent myself.

I unhinged the glovebox, but haven't yet taken it completely off to get a better look at things.
Yeah, I opened and closed the vent with no effect. Even with the vent closed on every other car i've had, there is always a little residual air flow. Here, there is nothing, not even residual air flow.
It really seems like the only possibility is some kind of foam packing left in the ductwork from when they were putting the car together....

While the other vents seem to be functioning properly, the lack of airflow from the passenger vent could be due to a blockage, a malfunctioning vent actuator, or potentially an issue with the ductwork. this content tell us that It's essential to address this problem to ensure optimal comfort for all occupants and to prevent any further complications with the HVAC system. Consulting with a qualified technician would be advisable to diagnose and resolve the issue effectively.
